Wipeout HD is upon us. This is a heads up that the Weekly TT will be coming back in a slightly different form this time around. As Frances_Penfold recomended in the past, we'll be implimenting a more accurate, progressive, and friendly system.
The basic idea is much like golf, get as few points as possible. The faster racer gets 1 point for that track/week, and the person in last will have the most points. Your place on that week's standings will directly represent your points. With this system, it's easy to update times, as it just shifts the numbers. Once a track has it's week, it open to be updated whenever. If two weeks later you rock Moa Therma, you'd still be free to post the new time, and your points will reflect this change. However, we only accept submissions for the track we are doing that week or if we've previously raced it. If not for this, this would just be a TT board, and would lack the fun of a weekly challenge.
Of course, the more people involved, the more fun it is.
I need feedback one something. Would y'all be willing to edit one post over and over, as the weeks go on, or would you prefer to have a post for each week.
We'll launch the Challenge a week or two after this thursday. Since it's less of a weekly challenge now, there is no solid last submission date, however, getting your first good attempt up before the next week's track is strong encouraged. What fun would it be if everyone sat on their times. You can update them, but try not to submit mediocre attempts if you know you can do alittle better. In other words, I don't want to have to (and I wont) update your time everyday, I'm prone to do updates when I'm bored in class (tuesday and thursday nights) and if I'm laying around on the weekend, but I'll try to establish a time every week I'll for sure update.
