Or maybe I just dislike the colors. Would actually prefer it with "desert" colors to be honest.
I was just getting used to the grey look myself, that's probably why I can't stand the move to a greener-looking craft.

It does look like a super high-res version of Pure and Pulse tracks, using all Pulse ships. I can't wait. This is more than just a mere PSN "semi-game..."

Yeah, it does look like a "true" game rather than a cheap download. Can't wait till X-mas!

"... can't believe the playable demo still has floating speedpads."

    It doesn't. That's a very old screenshot.

I just read the gamespot article-- didn't see anything about sixaxis controls. What do we know about sixaxis for Wipeout HD? I'm kinda hoping for a more traditional control scheme as well.

PS3 games are not required to have the signature tilting controls of SIXAXIS, keep that in mind.

Uh the only thing I have to contribute to this topic (because I may never buy a PS3 because they're so damned expensive, at least until PS3 Wipeout comes out), is that I hate the idea of the SIXAXIS tilt tbh.

Urgh, so inprecise! The thought of it makes me cry for my Neggie, D-Pad, even Analog Sticks! (Another reason I'm not a massive fan of nub and analogs is their slight lack of precision, by that I mean to say that it's harder to get an exact turn of an exact angle [if that makes sense], even if the D-Pad is blunt in control by comparison)

You'd actually be surprised as to how precise the SIXAXIS can be, unlike the wiimote...

You need to get used to it, and it takes a few hours of playing to get used to it, but once you are, it's pretty straightforward, and really really good to use.

The only gripe i have with this controller is, since it's bluetooth, sometimes it loses it's connection for a few seconds, and then comes back. Both me and my friend have had this happen with our PS3's, happens once or twice every few days.

It now tells you how much damage a weapon inflicts, how much shield energy you can gain by absorbing a certain weapon, and the direction of incoming fire...wow, thanks Max, that video is just amazing - however, that first-lap launch into the billboards wasn't XD

Video rocks for sure, incredible details and fantastic sceneries but i am not a fan of all those new infos on your screen like the one you can guess where is the ship behind you. Rear view anyone? i only hope we can unselected those

I'd just ignore it, like the weird square-ish arrow in Wip3out.

If all goes well, I'll get some video footage these days from two friends of mine. They were in Leipzig and will get home again this night. One 20 min vid of WO:HD and another 10 min vid of Pulse.
    We'll see

Me want to see! I hope it has some killer gameplay, without the always-drive-into-a-billboard pilots we see on some sites. You know the ones I mean!

Possible source of more Wipeout HD vids and images-- fan thread on Neogaf. Some of it is old, some of it looks new (or at least, new to me).

This video is dated from a while back but I haven't seen it yet-- apologies if already posted:

Darn - only eight tracks. At least they look totally awesome at the moment....quality over quantity I say.

Now to find out how I'll ever have this game.

Do you think other expansion packs will be available for download, perhaps?
