    Default Test Pilot Program members

Hi guys, thought it would be useful to get a list here of who has signed up to the TPP for Formula Fusion. Mainly to see who will be taking part in the testing phases as stated on the R8 Games website. If you wish to take part in the layered testing phase starting at the end of April, you will need at least the Bronze package.

If you are taking part in the TPP, please indicate in this thread along with which which package you have - Free, Bronze, Silver or Gold.

I'm in with the Gold package.

Please explain the Bronze/Silver /Gold etc

I visited the site to apply for registration when it first appeared months ago.....tried, no response... zilch!
    EURO ONLY ???

I thought maybe the trial numbers had been filled, so I let it drop.

    Let me guess.
You need Facebook membership to participate.

    If so, that's explains it.

    Please tell me I'm wrong.

A lot of us old WO pilots have vowed never to join Facebook [WO ARENA pilots especially]

Seeing ElHabib making a reappearance after what must be 3 to 4 years surprises me.

    Explanation for Free/Bronze/Silver/Gold packages : http://www.r8games.com/#!r8-test-pilot-programme/c17q8

You don't need facebook to be on TPP, for sure.
Check your mailbox, maybe you didn't see a mail from R8Games saying you're admittted(recieved mine before christmas). Or try again, it'll maybe work this time.

Oh, I was never really gone - just lurking in the shadows, hoping and praying for a wipEout game/successor I can enjoy again

    OK, bought GOLD.
Have yet to see what I have bought, will do over the weekend.
Also I'll move the mega PC it's installed on ,into the lounge, and try it over the projector.

3D capabilities with this game ? never bothered to ask, if so, how to turn them on and what do I need to play in 3D ?

Sorry I don't ask this stuff on your R8 FACEBOOK PAGE.
    Quite simple really.
Refuse to use Facebook ..... Loath it.

I think it's because most of the long term members here are a bit older than most forums, and don't suffer from a compulsive need to reveal to others, just how boringly narcissistic they are in the form of 'Selfie's', and thinking that the world could not survive another minute without them 'Liking' or 'disliking' every inane thing other deluded Facebook 'Friends' post [of few they have ever actually met].
There was a episode of South Park that said it better than I could on just how ridiculous Facebook is.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAVQLM7Jf_4

Stan's comment to his Father sums it up perfectly 'I just don't really want to pay attention to this [Facebook]'

I blame the fact that the Smartphone and Facebook basically came about at the same time, one fed the uptake of the other, you can't go anywhere now days without people looking down at a screen, luckily a few each day manage to take themselves out of the gene pool by walking out in front of a car or bus while doing so.

It seems to be a generational thing, thankfully the current generation coming through now [10-14 year old's] are clued up on the antisocial aspects of Facebook, and are tending to not join up, with any luck Facebook will eventually be seen as a mentally unhealthy passing fad, and go the way of the Hula Hoop.

Businesses like R8 have had to use Facebook to sell their wares, I don't blame them for that, good on them, you have to get the attention of those who are oblivious to anything else, otherwise they will never know about you.
It's easy for them as well, as they have a voluntary captured market of a similar mindset, and just have to appease them by asking for their approval by 'Liking' them, thereby reinforcing the underlying narcissism that drives Facebook.

I don't like the fact that some newer games are having Facebook interaction, as it causes problems for those that like the game and playing online, but don't want anything to do with Facebook.
Getting Facebook friends requests from people you have met via playing a game online, and then having to explain each time , No, I don't have Facebook, is usually met with disbelief, and misread as you not wanting to interact at all.

Also, since this sort of Facebook interactivity has been one of the main 'Features' of the PS4, added to the the lack of, and the exorbitant prices being asked for PS4 games, is why I have yet to buy one.

That is exactly why I hate facebook, also, the fact that any content you upload becomes the property of Facebook. It's no longer 'yours'.

Anything you make available digitally via the NET is considered 'Of Free Use' by those who choose to steal, and risk prosecution [which rarely happens, and if they lose, the fine is so minimal that it is of no deterrent]

A fine example of how bad it's got.

Does STEAM have safeguards against pirated software.
I ask because I would hate to see R8 suffer from pirates.

I'm not sure, but if it's on Steam, chances are it probably won't get pirated. Probably.
