Time Trial world rankings for WipEout 2097?

Hi everyone,

I heard from your site while looking for time trial world rankings for WipEout 2097. However, I have not managed to find them on the forum. Could you please tell me where I could?

I think most of those are found on youtube, but i don't really know to be honest, i wasn't around when the 2097 records were going, they may have been archived somewhere (maybe even here) but i'm not sure

Yes, we did have 2097`s records in this website but about five years ago this site had been hacked and been offline every since but, the records are still there. Admin is very busy atm but hopefully he will back on eventually.

@Cipher: I found some vids on YouTube, but not so many. For instance, I'm looking for the WR on Gare d'Europa with Piranha and cannot find it.

It is around 2:18 or so with the Piranha ship for wo2097. For woxl it is 2:06.4

However, I have to say that complete rankings would be a great way to keep the game alive. That's what happened for Super Mario Kart for instance. Although the game is more than 20 years old, it keeps on being played in time trial because rankings have been maintained for all this time, so that players can compete against each other even if they are not close to the WR.

It's obviously a shame that your site went broken because of a hack but isn't there any way to bring it back to life?

Infoxicated, the former site creator has said that he will fix it when he gets the chance. I know he has been very busy but hopefully this can still get done. He had records from wipeout one to wipeout hd, with multiple entries up until I believe HD.

Yup, wipeoutzone used to be much more than a forum (even though the forum is the main interest for many wipers), you can take a quick look at one of the archived web pages of wipeoutzone.com. For instance you can see a small sample of what the record tables looked like at the bottom of a page like this:

(you may have to wait a few minutes before seeing the record sample because archive.org is very slow).

Unfortunately we can’t use archive.org to browse through old records.
