    Default SSGX Installation Thread

How do I play SSGX on Windows 7? Other than the game itself, do I need to download anything?

You can play it right away after downloading and unzipping. No need for anything else than a program to unzip the archive

However, if you would like to use a Controller to play the game, you might need additional software that eats your controller inputs the right way. There is an user manual included in the SSGX demo package for that. When downloading, just make sure to download the version that matches your system:

Well it's expected that you know a bit more about your own computer before downloading our game. What system are you using? Windows 7 32bit or Windows 7 64bit?
    If it's 32bit you download de x86 (win_x86) version.
    If it's 64bit you download de x64 (win_x64) version.
If your graphics card supports DirectX 11 and your system is 64bit, you download the win_x64_dx11.

FYI I forgot to tell you that you can check the version in the Computer directory, press the right mouse button and select properties.

How do I tell the difference between a 32bit and a 64bit PC?

Its CPU architecture. Or just go to "My Computer" *right mouse click on empty space* "Properties" and read the stuff in the window that appeared.

Also if you have a folder at your C: drive called "Program Files (x86)" you are running on a 64Bit machine.

I'm going to assume you downloaded the mac version. Your files were corrupted after extraction. There are only a few extractors that can extract the zip/rar file and not ruin its contents. One of them is Stuffit Expander. It's a freeware and successfully extracts the files without corrupting them.

Please be a bit more specific. In what conditions did it crash? During race? Loading? Menu? Selecting an Option?

because it says it can't read a virus.

Do I take a risk or what?

It can't read a virus? What?

Can you send a screenshot of what Chrome shows you when you click the download button?

Btw search for a blue button on the bottom right. Because google drive tries to present the SSGX files as an image and fails, giving an error message.

Oh, that's nothing. It just means the file is too large for google to perform a routine pre-download scan. It shows up on every file that's larger than 10MB or something like that. Doesn't mean it has virus. If you're still unsure you can download it and scan it with your own anti-virus. Viruses can't be activated through download, but rather through executing an infected program/script.
