Lightbulb If Studio Liverpool were to resurrect Van-Uber, this is what I want their ship to look like

The image is from EVE Online. EVE Online is a registered trademark of CCP incorporated, who are based in Iceland. I did not make this picture or this model, so please do not give me credit. Thank you in advance.

The picture you are about to see is the Rifter from EVE Online.

This ship is held together with duct-tape and chewing gum.
I am hoping that the Van-Uber ship will look similiar, but painted in Van-Uber colors.
Also, I have some new ideas to make the ship stand apart:

Front-Engine Propulsion: Inspired by cars with FWD, the Rocket Turbines are instead mounted in the front of the craft (they would be covered by those grill-looking things). This would give it supurior thrust and handling.
Rudders and Tailfins: These would move when the ship turned, rather than the craft just shifting its weight like with the other ships.

    Van-Uber information

    Rifter Images

Remember, I do not want the ship to look exactly like that, but I just want it to be based on the Rifter. Obviously, it will need to be heavily modified to mook more Van-Uber-like.

That's a sexy picture, although you could probably get rid of some of the cruft sticking out the sides at the back. The cockpit and general rear pod could also stand to be a bit larger and more imposing (although that might just be the angle were viewing it from in the photo)

The original image had a wider aspect ratio. Not sure why they reduced the width.

Also, in EVE the smallest ships are 1/3 the size fo the Eiffel Tower in height, so the size isn't exactly to-scale.

Hey, am I seriously the only guy who likes the way the Rifter looks and finds the shape similiar to a Van-Uber ship?

Nice! It leads onto the question what film spacecraft would you like to see in a Wipeout extension special?

    I think The X-Wing would be just...awesome.

I would like to see the return of the VanUber team. However, I would like it to keep its original rounded theme.
As for having the engines mounted at the front of the ship, it's an interesting concept!

Oh crap, I might need to edit the poll. I see plenty of typos in there. I wish I could edit it. Or even better, I should just close it, since everyone keeps thinking that a WipEout HD Van-Uber shouldn't be based on anything that looks even remotely like a Rifter.
