    Lightbulb Queen Bee Mode

I just had this idea: Queen Bee Mode on WipEout HD Online.

    Here's the deal:

-Two Teams:Team Bee and Team Dragonfly
-One player of Team Bee gets to be Queen Bee
-Single race,10-20 laps in any track on any speed class
-Queen Bee can only use Green and Blue weapons to protect from attacks or cause damage to Team Dragonfly.
-Team Bee must escort the Queen Bee and protect it from attacks from Team Dragonfly
-If the Queen Bee is eliminated,Team Dragonfly wins
-If the Queen Bee finishes the race (No matter what position),Team Bee wins
    -Queen Bee can't absorb
-Team Dragonfly can't use Missiles or Quakes
-Queen Bee uses the Harimau Fury
-Team Bee uses the Yellow Harimau skin, obtained with 4000 loyalty points)
-Team Dragonfly uses any ship, but all of them must use the same one,HD Version only(example: All from Team Two uses Icaras
-Queen Bee can use Pink weapons,as long as it doesn't hit anyone
-Queen Bee must put the ship to COMPLETE STOP if he/she fires a Pink weapon and hits someone from Team Dragonfly
-No matter how many time the Queen Bee stays on a complete stop, after it reaches 0km/h the player can start going again.

If you have any suggestions, tell me,such as something that should stay or should go.

Hope we can do a match with this mode soon enough

Sounds interesting. I'd need to be on a VoIP with my team for it to be fun for me though.

What if the Queen Bee gets a quake?

The Queen Bee can use it,as long as it doesn't hit anyone from Team Two.I'd reccomend using the quake after the Queen Bee gets first and Team Two is far away from you (if your the Queen Bee)

"Escort the VIP" in Wipeout's style... Sounds interesting.

sounds good but like green races everyone needs to be trusted, the queen may absorb to give an advantage or shoot someone else. So aslong as everyone can be trusted im sure it could be fun to do

I'd change some rules to these ones:

    • The number of laps which will be run are from 8 to 15.
    • Team Dragonfly can use any ship they want (except Harimau) whether HD or Fury, but all must use the same chosen version (HD or Fury).
    • Team Bee can use any of the two versions of Harimau, but all must use the same one; the Queen Bee only can use the Fury version of Harimau.
Extension of the previous rule: if happens that both teams are using the Fury version, then the Queen Bee will use the HD one.

As Booney said, this game mode is based in the trust of the players, and all members have to decide which ships and version will be used for each team before the race.

So can the Queen Bee attack their own teammates? For example, they could use a Quake to get rid of a few of the enemy but accidentally hit one of their own in the process. It wouldn't be the first time that a leader has attacked their own people.

I think that if any of the Dragonflies get eliminated, then they are out of the game and must stop. Same with the ones escorting the Queen. It'd make it more interesting and balanced I think.

No worries, I'll explain it better . It means that the Bee Team is free to use the HD or Fury version of their Harimaus, but all of them must be agree to use the same version, i.e., all the Bee Team members must use the HD Harimau or the Fury Harimau, according of their agreement.

And about the Queen Bee, he/she is still forced to use the Fury Harimau, except if all racers will use the Fury ships; that's when the Queen Bee must choose the HD Harimau.

I hope this clarifies much better the rule I previously posted.

Sounds... extraordinarily complicated. Even working with just one other pilot is difficult without Skype, and the likelihood of getting all four on one side is difficult.

I like the idea at least. Escort missions in WipEout would be fun to try, though with the speed everything goes at at Phantom it'd be a pain. A 10-lap Flash race would be ideal.

Also, I know it's for going with 'bees' that we have Harimaus, but I reckon we should split it into the fact that the chasees can all be in fragile ships like Harimau, Assegai and Icaras, and the chasers in blocks like the Triakis, Piranha and Auricom.

    @Colonel__Gaddafi:
I know,I've traded PSN messages with him ^^

    @Challenger #001:
Not so complicated after you start playing it...I only forgot about the weapon limitations, now that I'm fighting more in races

Fragile ships? Dunno...The chasers can pick any ship of their pick, but all must be the same.I picked Harimau as the Bee team because there is a Yellow and Black skin color, and the Fury version is very complicated, making it look important ^^
