Default Oggob's Zone 151 video now available

We've finally succeeded in converting a video of Oggob's insane zone 151 achievement to MPEG format. To keep the size down, the video contains key moments from zones 30, 60, 100, and then the remainder from zone 140-151. The file size is 11MB and is available in both ZIP and SIT format depending on the operating system you use.

    ZIP: http://www.ffxnet.com/151short.mpg.zip

    SIT: http://www.ffxnet.com/151short.mpg.sit

Thanks go out to Lunar for converting the video to MPEG, and to Oggob for making the insane run and for being such an absolute god at Zone. Enjoy!

I haven't seen the video yet.

However, I was telling AmigoJack a while ago in a chat that Mr. Zoolander isn't human! He's an EG.r employee sent from the future.

With Zone Levels like 151, Mr. Oggob could also be considered a time traveller

I'll probably post my comments about the video later.

That is just $*#&# nuts. Strange thing is, by about 3/4 of the way through it almost seemed to slow down a bit as I got acclimated, but there is no chance in hell I could ever pull that off.

    My hat's off to you!

There's a reason for that, AmishRobot - at around Zone 63-64 it doesn't get any faster. From that point on it's just a matter of hanging onto the thing!

Well I knew that. My point was just that after 20-30 seconds, I started to get acclimated to the speed and was actually able to follow what was going on... barely. It almost felt like it started to run slower.

    Sorry to revive.
The link is dead, does anyone have a copy of the thing? If so do you mind uploading it?

With that horizontal line on the video it looks like my old VHS on fast forward

Insane. I once got around 80 something but didn't remember it being that fast...

I got to zone 124, but it was taking all my time, then I saw the 151 and figured it would take me a year to get that. I had the record for a while after that tournament(101) on wipeoutzone vs wipeoutfusion. the damn phone rang and someone knocked on the door during the race causing much anger until I got 100.

I know the feeling, what with the phone, people popping in and the effing church bell-ringers starting up, I ended up getting so paranoid about being disturbed that I could never get a run I was happy with anyway. I managed to get the score reset, but never got anywhere near you, Charlie, Arnaud and Oggob. But it was a very entertaining time.

Let's hope Zone mode for Pulse will be as impressive as it was on Fusion , the mode that saved Fusion to my dustbin.

It was certainly the highlight of the game for me. I'll need to do that guide at some point. I finish work in a few weeks so I'll try and get going again.
