I love the original WipEout. but i get to the last race at silverstream in the Ag League and i completely fail it. I havent even unlocked Rapier mode yet. No matter what ship i use or how many times i run it for practice, i cant even get past sixth place. its just stopped being remotely fun now. i could really use some tips to keep me going guys. and i know theres people a heck of a lot more experienced than i am. Thanks.

IVe looked over those same links but i too have the same problems. get to silverstream then fail miserably to 5th place.

where can i find the time? is there a better route to take?

The only other tip I would have is to say that on Silverstream don't be afraid to really pump the brakes to keep the ship under control. Brake hard and turn very early when the speed pads are going to send you into the wall. You have to show the ship who is boss!

follow that line of that video, then you will have no problems easier said than done though, that was a nice race. those last sharp turns you can cut alot of time if you hit that speed pad on the second left very sharp turn. Of course you are taking a chance to get it though.

I started playing this again two days ago, God it's infuriating. I forgot the AI really screws you over far worse than HD could manage. I also forgot how to do the fast start, only managed it twice and piled into the ship in front both times. I Just read an old thread in here that should help.
