Not a muppet at all. That's a bad situation, don't know what you could do about that one, is there no way you could shake it loose?

You obviously just plug your new HDMI cable into one of the other HDMI ports in your TV
Seriously, that sucks OBH!
Just a quick note, the second breach was on the Sony Online Entertainment service, a separate entity to the PSN
Well yeah, but it doesn't make it any less ballsy when they already have like 7 agencies working to catch whoever hacked the PSN.
I also heard that of the 77million users that about 10million CC's were leaked maybe from the PSN attack. So even though they're not completely admitting to it, there's about a 1 in 7 chance that a PSN users CC was stolen.
I thought some online functionality would be returned today... I've been waiting...
I think that the May 3rd date was just a rumour that spiralled a bit out of control and people started taking it seriously. Personally I won't be surprised if it's not up by this week at all. Sony may have to contend with a lot more problems, not to mention extensive testing of the new servers to ensure that they can meet their requirements.
I've been patient for 2 weeks, now its startin to become a bit of an annoyance...
I can definitely sympathise with you there Greeny - it sure is becoming an increasing nuisance as the days go on.
OBH - If you need a new HDMI Cable, don't bother with those expensice "premium" ones. I got mine for £7 from ASDA and it does the job perfectly.
i just want it to be online so i can change my password and things
I'd rather they wait for a week-end to turn it back on. Sure it would put more strain on the server but considering we talk about security, more people would be able to change their passwords on a week-end than say... Wednesday at 1 PM...
Turn off the TV and un plug it from the wall, let it sit for a few minutes, then get a pair of needle nosed pliers and remove the plug that way.
If you leave the broken plug in the set there is a possibility that you will short out your TV at worse, or scramble the inputs selection at least.
It must of been a extremely cheap and dodgy HDMI cable for that to happen, or your on steroids.
proper cheapo hdmi let me tell you
no strength enhancing drugs im afraid
This thread really should be moved into General Discussion, because it affects more than just WOHD.
lol...
i wonder when psn will be back..im missing not going online there are people i havnt talked to for two weeks i wonder what there up to..obviously not on psn for sure..
Stupid F****** hackers!!!!!
http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2011/05/...-this-weekend/
If i ever see or find a hacker i would be the last face they ever see.....
Go hack a porn site... then give me the passwords lol.
If i was sony i would sue these idiots for loss of earnings and make sure they never get internet again!!!
just ridiculous...
