Default 3D Pics & How to make 3d photos using wipeout 3d mode.

It seems that when you make a photo when in 3dmode the ps3 makes a stereo picture (MPO) but names it jpeg so you only see the left frame.
You have to rename the file from jpeg to mpo then use a windows pc app called Stereophoto maker (freeware and 1st link in google search)
open wipeout photo file and then resave as mpo file, For some reason the sony ps3 app playmemories that plays mpo files wont play wipeout pics till you do this. unless they have been made in 2d and then at least can be read
You can also export as stereo jpegs,
My collection i made today http://hotfile.com/dl/78055468/89001...peout.zip.html

I have a collection here of mpo which is full resolution and loads directly in 3d on playmemories for ps3

Yep I was wondering why it had a different filename
Has mpo.jpg at end. It seems it makes a mpo file but renamed to jpeg. Has to be worked on a pc though to turn back to a mpo file.
I'm thinking when they make ps3 read mpo files natively (if they do) then they could patch wipeout to export mpo instead.

Also it seems these .mpo files are recognized automatically if you have an NVIDIA graphics card on your computer (At least they are for me) and possibly when you have a ATI card too. When I double click on them it says I don't have 3D Vision enabled (I don't have the monitor for it, nor the glasses) but I assume that if you do it will display the images in 3D automatically...

For me I have downloaded the viewer you recommended and I think it can work to display them using the red/blue thing, but I can't find my cheap glasses for that so I can't test either.

ive also reuploaded original stereo jpegs here http://img209.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=20532222.jpg

Its a shame some of the extra photo effects are disabled in 3d mode, so not much abstract 3d art can be made.

I finally managed to get one of these 3D pics to work earlier, so I'll be checking out this thread more often now.
