I think if you were kicked out by someone who then withdraws in the NEXT round, you deserve his place to be fair. It's a bit unfair.

as far as i am concerned with withdraws its all down to individual reasons

some that i have heard are legitimate and understandable my best wishes go to those players..

others are just rubbish and unaceptable and disrespect the efforts of the organisers and Markus memory imo, some are just down to cowadice cos there not big enought to take a loss

i would like to withdraw myself because i want to spend my time doing other things apart from wipeout but i wont quit till i have played all my games and help all the other players arrange and play there games..

remember this world cup is dedicated to Markus and also remember all the hard work many players have put into arranging this world cup not only Kanar but many others too who have helped with organising and videos and so and so

as kanar says its about taking part..lets face it i got more chance of winning the lottery without a ticket than winning the cup but i dont care i just play on and on and take part..

shame he never played them and played totally differnt tracks when we actually met and deliberatley lied to me

this guy tried to hustle me with zone battles and lied about track choice so he knew mine but i didnt know his and was hoping i wasnt a zone player either

and he picked

I Thought This Cup Was Meant To Be Fun, Not to be a ground for insults and hate stuff. I also quit because i didnt want to risk anymore shite from people but it seems that when i did what people want me to do. guess what, I GET MORE OF IT!
I Have Had Pm's of people saying that they are so happy i quit which did really annoy me, So why dont you people who try get a few laughs by insulting.

From what I've read, there have been no direct insults traded within this thread at all. Many people are still bitter with the whole glitch issue (myself included, to an extent.)

The revelation of something as serious as this in a game which many people love is bound to start some fireworks. You do get +1 interwebz for being honest, however many people are a little miffed that the glitch was executed and then revealed, which has effectively scuppered the chances of a new WR and made a mockery of the amazing times made by the lower class pros such as texasalex.

I know it's bad that you're receiving these sorts of messages, but people feel angry and hurt. Can you blame them? Now I'm not condoning hate mail or anything, let me make that clear, however for the reasons I mentioned above, I feel that this won't settle down for a long time.
