    Question Golden Zone?

When I finally got Zone Zeus last week, I took a picture to commemorate reaching the "Golden Zone." When I hit Supersonic, the color scheme changed to gold. However, I saw someone else's picture of hitting supersonic, and it was not gold. I thought this was odd. So I'm wondering, does it change to gold just when you go Supersonic for the first time? Does it change to gold only on the Zone tracks (I hit it on Sincopia, while the other picture was on AP)? Or was it added with Fury all around?

AFAIK it's only The PurE Four (Pro Tozo, Mallavol, Corridon 12 and Syncopia) that have this particular colour scheme. The rest are black for the forward variant, and blue for the reverse (Fury tracks included.)

    Interesting.

Seems like it would be worthwhile to add to the other tracks as well, as the last colour scheme for forward and reverse alike.

Why? The more variety the better. I have yet to see this color scheme, but
something tells me that the original supersonic (forward) looks better.

Hmm, this makes me wonder: is the colour scheme for reverse supersonic attainable at all in zone sessions of the forward variant of the tracks? If not, it'd be a good incentive for me to reach zone 75 on a reverse track, just to see another as-yet-unseen colour scheme.

Can someone who's reached Supersonic on a reverse (non zone-only) track chime in on this?

The Supersonic skin for Reverse tracks is that of Sub-Venom or Venom on Forward tracks.

I don't get it... on one hand, I hear that the forward supersonic colour scheme differs from the reverse one. However, on the other hand there's what DD just said (i.e. reverse supersonic is a scheme used in forward zone sessions as well).

There are 13 colour schemes (not counting Supersonic) that are shared between forward and reverse variants of tracks... but there are 14 named zones! There has to be either a "new" colour scheme used somewhere in reverse zone sessions, or the forward Supersonic colour scheme makes its debut earlier in reverse variants. But which one is it? Or am I being stupid and missing something obvious?

Okay, for The PurE Four, they have their own exclusive colour schemes not used anywhere else.

Hmm, when did they change that? I haven't done Zone on a reverse track since Fury came out, but I'm 100% sure it started with the forward Mach 1 as reverse Sub-Venom before 2.00. Gotta check this tomorrow.

Sub venom on reverse is definitely mach1.
One thing I'm not sure on is when zone loads, the 1st image you see, is it supersonic for a split second, and then it changes to mach 1 for the start?

edit: could just be as simple as:
    Reverse tracks:

    Sub Venom: Colour scheme 13
    Venom: Colour scheme 13
    ???

They are probably not in the right order, but I'm pretty sure there's no "secret" colour scheme involved
Yes, reverse instantiates as Supersonic but switches to Mach 1.
So Supersonic in reverse is probably the scheme shown when forward instantiates before it switches to Sub Venom scheme.
    Here is more accurate list:

    Forward tracks:

    Start: Colour scheme 0
    Sub Venom: Colour scheme 1
    Venom: Colour scheme 2
    Sub Flash: Colour scheme 3
    Flash: Colour scheme 4
    Sub Rapier: Colour scheme 5
    Rapier: Colour scheme 6
    Sub Phantom: Colour scheme 7
    Phantom: Colour scheme 8
    Super Phantom: Colour scheme 9
    Zen: Colour scheme 10
    Super Zen: Colour scheme 11
    Subsonic: Colour scheme 12
    Mach 1: Colour scheme 13
    Supersonic: Colour scheme 14

    Reverse tracks:

    Start: Colour scheme 14
    Sub Venom: Colour scheme 13
    Venom: Colour scheme 12
    Sub Flash: Colour scheme 11
    Flash: Colour scheme 10
    Sub Rapier: Colour scheme 9
    Rapier: Colour scheme 8
    Sub Phantom: Colour scheme 7
    Phantom: Colour scheme 6
    Super Phantom: Colour scheme 5
    Zen: Colour scheme 4
    Super Zen: Colour scheme 3
    Subsonic: Colour scheme 2
    Mach 1: Colour scheme 1
    Supersonic: Colour scheme 0

Haha, but now I say that I don't notice any difference when starting a zone mode on a forward track, and the sub venom scheme.
I've never achieved supersonic on a reverse course, is the difference from mach 1 to supersonic really hardly anything at all?

I'm gonna try to take a picture of it, I've done up to Mach 1 just now, maybe if I don't pause I'll have better chances.

    EDIT: Yeaaah well no. :/

DR777 - I'm sure it starts off at Mach 1 on reverse, so Mach 1 on Reverse would be the Sub-Venom coloring scheme, with Supersonic being the same on both forward and reverse (I havn't Supersonic'd a reverse track yet but I'm sure that how it goes).

I've tried Anulpha Reverse, Colour scheme at Zone 70 was the same as Colour scheme at Sub Venom on Anulpha Forward. But there's a colour scheme before Sub Venom, it's the one when the race has finished loading and just started. That is the colour scheme for Supersonic on Reverse, and the usual Supersonic colour scheme from Forwards is only shown at the start when the Reverse race has loaded, it then starts with Sub Venom Reverse using the colour scheme of Mach 1 Forward.

Ugg, confusing. If I can ever manage Zone 75 on AP rev I'll grab a pic and do a compare, I already have the forwards made from some time ago.

But I'm 100% my second list is accurate, I'll delete the first.

Just Supersonic'd AP Reverse, it seems like both Start scheme and Supersonic scheme are the same, which means that for forward it's the same thing too. I'll edit the pictures together tomorrow, and add the awesome shots to my Zone album on my profile.

Nice! Glad someone cleared this up, although the result is somewhat of a disappointment... a new colour scheme would've rocked.

Oh well, here's hoping they let us use Detonator colour schemes in Zone in the near future.

I posted a pic days ago of Rev AP with the forward supersonic colours

Its most offputting when you have been used to the blue colour before

Specially the brick wall above the start finish line
