Just had my first serious attempt at Vineta K forward.

Went well I guess... got up to 7th on the ingame leaderboards. Got 208554 and 63/52, and I was surprised to see that score beat the likes of 74/52 and 70/55's etc. I must be doing more barrel rolls than everyone else apparently...

Was annoyed with how it ended though, as soon as I got near 200k I got nervous, crashed far too often after. I also hate it when the 2nd jump goes wrong and you crash into several walls, causing lots of damage.

But 7th aint too bad after 1 sesh

Woo, just set 224241 71/54... again, got nervous towards the end, but this'll satisfy me.

Haha, first of all well played...

From the start, I basically BR till my health is 30. Then I repair till 60-70, and BR every round. I basically only stop BRing once I'm taking serious damage.

You were pretty close though. I may have to try a couple of times now.

I use far away cam btw

Nice battling over here, Jav and ZixXer! Having a good competition
on a track is probably the best thing one can get. Enjoy!

Got it. But I still need the top10-20 as well. You may also take
another shot of VK since there is a lot of action going on.

Hehe, I'm loving your determination ZixXer, keep trying, it keeps me focused

I can take pics of top 10-20's tonight, oh and I'll do a 20-30 of AP too, for obvious reasons. I'll get you a VK top 10 as well if you like...

    xD

To answer your question; all counter-strike (cs) pros do still play on a CRT.
Playing WipEout HD professionally (xD) a TV should have no more than one
frame of input-lag (about 16ms), otherwise the disadvanatge will be become
too large. Some last-gen Sony BRAVIA LCDs have 0ms input-lag, which is quite
astonishing for an LCD. With respect to TFT displays only those using a TN
panel come below 16ms of input-lag usually in the range of 2 - 8ms on
average. A CRT has no input-lag and ouputs also some brilliant colors and
has a very good contrast but lacks resolution if you haven't bought one of
those HD CRTs which were sold a few years ago. If you play on a standard CRT
in 4:3, then you my have a slight disadvantage with repect to a 16:9 one,
since your view is a little bit more constrained to the left and right.
Anyway, I don't think that a lower resolution as such is of any disadvantage.
For example, almost all cs pro do play in 640x480 despite they could play
in 1280x1024. It turns out that 640x480 is the best resolution to play cs on
a professional level. Your biggest advantage, however, is that your CRT is
pretty fast. 0ms of input-lag, instant color change, etc, is what can make
the difference in the end. I mean, 8ms or 16ms doesn't sound that much to the
average user, but it has an effect. But before one can gain an advantage out
from a CRT over an TFT / LCD, one has to maxed out anything else before the
advantage kicks in. I once played on a CRT (4:3, 576p) a few runs, the game
appeared a little more fluent and stable to me. But I never tried to go for
a record or something. The game is just too awesome looking in 1080p.
    Love it!

Just wanted to say: Played Zone Battle online yesterday with six people and it was awesome. Just awesome. Never thought that mode could be so much fun, as I never really cared about it before.

The latest ZONE rankings are up! Thanks for all the pictures, LurifaxFlux and
    Jav!

Seems like my last post about VK has ignited some competition over there.

@Sausehuhn: Yeah, Zone Battle rocks! But unfortunately, it's almost
unplayable on some of the Fury tracks due to major frame drops.

@ZixXer: I had once the idea to build a league / tourney around this, but
there are not that many (sticky) players playing ZONE and / or Zone Battle.
It depends. However, I had some good battles with most of the top10 players
for some weeks after Fury was released.
