If it makes you feel any better, PS, I would look at the leaderboards and think you were the most legit and the most interesting.

I mean, on the other leaderboards, it's like, "there's boring old yeldar, first again, next track, oh look there's yeldar," yawning.

    Just kidding, yeldar.

Yeld stole my Modesto FWD time. I gotta get it back now. Just been lazy.

Now that the rankings are fixed (sort of), I regained my interest in Anulpha Pass. So I did a little run yesterday and entered the top 50. I'm now placed 49th.

And I think I'm the fastest dutchie on that track at the moment. Better is still possible, so I won't give up. Don't know if PS-like zones are possible though.

I did it. I reached zone 92 in syncopia.
But... it's not my best record, it is one in which i made zone 81 but with more perfect zones and laps.

    Zone 100 waiting!

    EDIT: Zone 95!

Have updated the top10 of the Pure4 tracks on Connavar's webpage. Some new faces
did appear like for example; godslayer999, Shalakaska, Fyue3, tinc62, and waed64.

    Personally, I've set a new record on Pro Tozo; 330k, 112 / 87.

How about this; three records in three days -- Pro Tozo, Übermall, and Sol2.
Granted, Übermall and Sol2 weren't a challenge at all because the competition
isn't that strong over there. I wonder which track is next....

Vineta-K Reverse is after Sol 2 Forward.

Oh it's not the question you asked?

I never touched the reverse tracks, wanted to finish the (HD-) forward tracks
first. But I don't think to go in line with the reverse ones ... don't know which
track to choose next but it will be a reverse one, perhaps Chenghou Project.

What I really like about ZONE is to explore all the corners of each track and
how everything is changing as the speed goes up. It's really cool to figure it
all out and to enjoy the given track at a blazing speed, esp. when everything
works out quite well. And the best thing of all; I've got about 17 tracks to go.
    Sweet!

    Kinda of an interesting thing here;

Vertical Run -- a PlayStation Home game from Audi.

// Virtual test drive with Audi’s e-tron electric concept car
    {

... INGOLSTADT, Germany, Sep 21, 2009 - Audi fans will be able to drive
the e-tron concept car through PlayStation Home starting in late 2009. Audi
is the first carmaker to develop its own virtual area there, known as the
Audi Space. The Audi e-tron, a high-performance sports car with a purely
electric engine, was introduced at the International Motor Show (IAA).
Starting in December, it will be available in the Vertical Run driving game
    within the Audi Space.

Racing enthusiasts will soon be able to view the Audi drive concept of the
future in PlayStation Home, a 3D social gaming service for the PlayStation
3 community. Four motors – one per wheel – power the e-tron when it drives
along the three-dimensional racetrack in Vertical Run. The game will be
available exclusively in the new Audi Space within PlayStation Home.
“Most young people gain their first driving experience from video games,”
explains Kai Mensing, who is responsible for video games and virtual worlds
in Online Marketing at Audi. “With the Audi Space, we can bring this target
group into contact with our brand in a highly emotion-packed and
interactive environment, and demonstrate our ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ with
    the virtual e-tron race.”

The goal of Vertical Run is to beat the competition in a multiplayer
challenge by collecting enough electrical energy and avoiding driving
errors in the e-tron, in order to reach the highest possible speed.
    While
all PlayStation Home users will be able to access Audi Space – with its
centrally placed tower reminiscent of major cities like Shanghai and
Chicago – the Audi apartments located above the city will only be available
    to the best drivers. ...

Sounds like a variant of ZONE.

Well, I'm somehow also dreaming of an extraordinary WipEout space for
Home -- a location crafted in the same style as Fury, where the fans can
meet each other, and where one may also get to know about Wipeout
itself, about its history and things alike.

Arrow Some of my thoughts while playing Wipeout HD Zone.

    • Handling is better than a normal race at comparable levels.
    • Enjoy the air-brakes.
    • Something about the controls transitions around Rapier.
    • Zen is smooth.
    • Boost pads are candy.
    • Thinking ahead helps, but zoning out helps even more.
    • There is a relation between my last perfect zone and my last zone, but not a specific number, it keeps creeping up.
    • About 1 zone per day of practice?
    • "S" turns and "counter-breaking" are essential to some of the trickier tracks.
    • Warm up for a few minutes, 2nd try is usually better, 3rd round tends to loose steam.
    • No warm up needed going past zone 50.

Hi kEnder242, welcome on board! Nice to see another ZONE guy over
here. "About 1 zone per day of practice?" Well, if that would be true,
then.... The handling for the craft has undergo multiple changes, it
handles quite good these days. Only some minor changes are necessary,
i.e. lowering the craft's sensitivity from zone 100 onwards.

@QjonPL: "... the Audi apartments located above the city will only be
available to the best drivers. ..."
. So let's have a party over there!

About 1 zone per day of practice? Yes, i often put the game only for a zone race, and then quit.

Hi all, my first post in the Zone thread. Zone is what I love most about Wipeout HD/Fury. When I received platinum, I had 30% of game time into Zone Syncopia (current lapcount 3799.. the other bars are sooo small) And that number is still 30% (approx) even after numerous speed lap sessions

ProblemSolver : You are my definite zone hero!
And, you were right about a couple of things (of course, even doubting double Zeus will be a painful mistake lol )
Anyhow, I agree that all Zone ships react differently, for instance, Mirage handles a lot more jumpier than Qirex. I broke my record again today 92 zones, 76 perfect, 283K, bringing me in the top 40! Beware PS, I'm going to grab your title (and that will happen when chicken get teeth and I look out my window and see pigs flying around lol)
Second thing, the scrape that removes control for a second is definitely annoying

By the way, is it just me or are the flashes in Subsonic annoying as hell?

Hi BlackStar, nice to see you over here. I hope you can enter even deeper
into teH zone. Your ratio of 92/76 looks quite good, lots of potential. Keep going!

    Thx for the flowers, mate!

Well, I in a few weeks I will give a speech on the german Reichstag (Berlin)
talking about how space and time will bend once entering zone 160. After my
speech I will also give an autographing session for all the attendees.

About the flashes. I can't get enough of these.

    Cool

Hehe, I plateaud for quite a while, made it to 80 / 60 numerous times, and I kept messing up the right left curve after the starting line. Then when I switched to Qirex I managed to get some perfect laps on supersonic. Well, there aren't many moments that feel that good I'm trying to get to 100 before the end of this year, but the speed increase after 90 is just mind-blowing.. can't even imagine how things must be at 140+

Hehe, a boxed Wipeout HD autographed by the one and only ProblemSolver himself... that would be awesome.. problem is, I wouldn't want your sig only, there are numerous others Reach 160 quickly so the box will bend as well Then everyone should be able to sign it

Yeah the righ-left turn is a real tough one. Beyond zone 140 its more than
breathtaking running around this turn. Pretty intense! I hope you will be able
to enjoy this feeling some day. The hardest thing of all is when being on a
record run, carrying around a heavy load on ones shoulders. One mistake and
    the show is over.
Autographing WipEout HD retail boxes should cash in some money.

Zone 140.. I don't know if that will come into reach, but I will keep practicing. I'm really used to reaching Supersonic now instead of just barely making it, so who knows?

Anyhow, the mistake part is already nabbing me at 95, one mistake and it's pinball pinball pinball, sometimes I can correct it and run another lap or maybe two, but when the pinball starts, 50% energy is almost lost instantly.

Conclusion, don't make mistakes It's still awesome though to show friends with an Xbox this game, I showed m Ubermall at Venom speeds and they were like WHOAAA this is fast! So naturally, I showed Ubermall at Phantom after that, and then my zone skills I still remember one of them saying "This looks so easy when you do it, but when we try we'll probably crash out before 30"
