Shield Tactician
Protect your ship from the most weapon damage with a Shield


Shielder
Deflect the most weapons with Shields

I don't understand the difference between these two...

One counts the number of damage points you would have taken had there not been a shield

The other counts just the amount of weapons deflected using shield.


For example:
Missile does 15 damage. Leech does 12 (amirite?)

If you get missiled once and leeched once while having a shield:
Shield Tactician counts 27 damage.

Shielder counts 2 weapons.


I agree, not much difference though.

hmmm btw im pretty sure that shielder is number of shields used, not number of weapons deflected. it sounds a bit more plausible, which would leave it more in the departmen of relied on autmaton. and i think i got shielder without deflecting any weapons at all.

does getting pristine involve not doing any BRs? i thought it did but it's really hard for me not to do them purely out of reflex...

To get pristine you can lose 0 health ( I think, you might have 1% but not sure) and you can't absorb any weapons so I'm guessing that you can't do any BRs either.

Just create a race with BRs off and I'm sure you will do it in no time

Can't I use the Leech Beam either, when I want to get the Pristine Badge? This way I could compensate when I got shot by somebody or I loose some health when scratching a wall.

On second thought, this couldn't be called then "pristine" anymore.

I know you can't get it with 99/98 health with a non absorption of anything,tried it,no badge.

Hmmm...seems like the easiest was to get "Pristine" would be a no-weapons Venom race on Anulpha between just 2 players. Who's with me?!

With the tournament secure, purposefully meander along in last place to leave fighting to the other players (while nevertheless ensuring it is very obvious that this what you are doing)

Hoist By Your Own Petard
Lose from safe winning position on final lap by missing the track after an entirely unnecessary boost plus BR attempt through arch near end of Ubermall FWD or final straight on Vineta K FWD

Sore Loser - aka... Utter ****
Quit after 11th race of a 12 stage tournament because your only realistic challenger for overall lead in a tight tournament now has a lead of 3 pts or more.

Really Sore Loser - aka... Complete and Utter ****
As above, but on final lap of race 12 when it becomes clear you cannot win.

Now You See Them, Now You Don't
Have all other racers quit on you before end of tournament.

Through Gritted Teeth
Send congratulatory message to opponent who takes the 12 race tournament that you had been leading since race 6.
