Spectator sport/WipEout HD Live

I'd like a spectator mode where people worldwide can sign in to the PSN via PS3 console (no HD required) with the spectator's screen identical to the HD player's and the ability to toggle between ships during a race. It would be a great way for SL to advertise HD and we top wipers would make more fanatics! I could put on a live influential performance to teach my style!

great idea though. or you could have a feature where if a game is full you can still 'join' it so that you can watch. i'd love to watch some of the events live, it'd be awesome. doing it without HD might be a bit hard to implement but i think its a great idea nonetheless.

We all know a "Spectate" option exists (Press [] on the lobby screen), however it appears only as a glitch and is not functional. Maybe it is used for cheat monitoring or etc... ? It would be cool if it was available to everyone then (SL if you're reading this! )
