still possible to get in top ten of vineta k, i did last week with a 17.87 without boost select boost. My previous time was a bsb with 18.11 i think. Just gotta keep at it and make sure you get the Brs and the right lines

    Hi Connavar,

do you have an idea when you are going to change the ranking system for empty cells. For moderate players it almost isnt possible to reach the 450 points unless we delete all our "bad" records. I don't think that that is your goal.

I didn't realise you could still do the BSB shortcut without actually BSB'ing.

    I stand corrected.

[QUOTE=Connavar;110913]2. Each mode/track/class combination gives scores to all players in that combination:

    Everyone gets this score:
    1000*exp((best-time)*9/time)

Hi Connavar, could you give me an example with numbers of your ranking-formule, e.g:

Single Race, Phantom, Tech de Ra reverse

    Best time: 1.55.62
    My time: 2.09.88
    My points: 372

    Thanks

Please just WAIT, as I said earlier, the formula is being changed, so why are you
asking how it's currently working? In 1 week there will be another update, and
    everything will behave correctly.

@ Connovar. I think the formula works fine. Its just the 450 base default value that needs changing. Either a lower constant or maybe something like an average of your worst 10 records for a variable.

@ prttoettoet. Here is your example:

Convert the times into seconds. Best time = 115.62. Your time = 129.88

    Formula then becomes: 1000*exp((115.62-129.88 )*9)/129.88 )

    = 1000*exp((-14.26*9)/129.88 )
    =1000*exp(-128.34/129.88 )
    =1000*exp(-0.988 )
    = 372 when rounded.

    exp = the number "e", 2.71828.

One quick thing connavar about detonater scores. On your site for example you could have say 58.77% for a score but on the in game records it only says 58.7%. how is the last digit right if it doesnt display it in game. Now when i type a score in it automatically goes to 58.70%, because of the last unknown digit.

prttoettoet: how about jacking into the MATRIX?
Then you can see an overview of your best and worst records.

Reezy: don't worry about the formula, I had already found the proper solution
2 months ago! But I implemented this version because it's a lot faster.

(Thanks for the explanation of the current formula )

    XBARNSTERX: it's a float error.

Connavar, I cannot edit my times in Google Chrome. Is anyone else experiencing this? Once I click edit the page reloads but the old time remains (works fine in Firefox).

Also, when you edit times the Icaras is automatically entered as the ship. I understand the reasoning for this as when entering records the Icaras is the most common. However, wouldn't it be better to keep the original ship of the record when editing?

Make sure you're logged in and the filter is on 'most recent'.

Rezatron: the Icaras ship is a bug that has been fixed.
    Will check with Chrome.

Soon as I log in then press rankings or events I get logged out again. I am using Internet Explorer, it was working up until a while ago. Is there a way round this as I don't want to start using another browser if I can help it?

Yes, enable cookies. You might have to add the website and chboing.free.fr
to the list of trusted websites.

Please forgive this Opera fanboy, but using IE to browse the internet is like wearing concrete boots whilst walking uphill.

    Funny Lance

In order to let you breath easier, I may try Opera.

When you get to the top of them there hills, the air is crisp and clean. Even if you do have blisters.

    @Connavar. Cheers mate, sorted.

Doesn't get much cleaner air than Firefox + AdBlock+ and Noscript (Or similar setups on Opera).

Please stop using Internet Explorer and try something else, and I mean anything. Firefox, Opera, Kameleon, SeaMonkey, etc... Anything. You'll hate yourself for using and tolerating Internet Explorer this long.
