Theirs plenty of YELLO to make a mash.

I've also converted over the majority of the WipEout XL soundtrack CD that was released.

Track 1 - Airspace
Track 2 - Lose No Time
Tone Depth's "Rumblefish" is available for download in .mp3 for $0.99
http://mp3.rhapsody.com/tonedepth/rumblefish
It is a kickin' tune from Montreal DJ Tone Depth which you'll find excellent for zoning.
I put my copy of W3SE in, and since the music for that was CD Audio I just ripped it to the ps3.
W3 hud, w3se soundtrack...
might go back to the normal hud though
also, is it at all possible to build a custom playlist and have the game include the Wipeout HD original tracks also? I'd like to have a playlist that is a combo of the WO HD music plus whatever I add to it..

i listen to the original F-Zero soundtrack. Here's what I did:
I downloaded the SNES audio files here:
http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?...t&selected=840
extracted the files with winrar, edited their lengths to be about 4 min long each (you can edit them in winamp with SNESAmp if they are extracted and not read-only), shortened the fade-out to 3 seconds, and rebuilt the archive with winrar.
http://alpha-ii.com/Download/Main.html#SNESamp
used SNESAmp in winamp to create .wavs of the songs (using high-quality output in SNESAmp; it makes the bass sound better, IMO):
used LAME to encode the files to 192 VBR mp3s (lame -V 2 --vbr-new):
http://lame.sourceforge.net/
this process can be done with any SNES game

Pretty much any daft punk track will do, especially the dub mixes. Avoiding Celebration though.
Did it work? Any recommendations of some Drum&Bass that works with Wipeout? Nothing too heavy or too fast, and absolutely no vocals! Except maybe just in the background.
I recently got Paul van Dyk`s "Out There and Back" to try and dilute the excessive amount of breaks on my playlist and it works a treat..... really nice album and it feels like Wip3out all the way. With that in mind, does anyone have any other techno/trance recommendations from PVD or anyone else? I`m not usually fond of house/techno/trance or whatever you call it, and if there must be vocals only for atmosphere please!
Drum and Bass is my favourite music to race to aswell. Some tracks on my custom playlist are:
Dj Teebee - Hunter:
Phace - Lost:
Quadrant - Manipulated Living:
Dj Teebee - Life Continue:
Bad Company - Seizure:
Calyx & Teebee - Telepathy:
Calyx & Teebee - Warrior:
Calyx & Teebee - Dual Processed:
Glitch & SST - The Needle:
Paperclip - Bearing Death:
Snitchbros - In Further Blackness:
Snitchbros - Trigger:
Plump DJs - S.N.A.F.U:
Other than this I use some of the old Wipeout tunes by Cold Storage aswell as some from Wipeout 2097\XL. If anyone has some similar tracks to recommend I'd love to check them out.

lunar - give psytrance a go, especially progressive stuff. The biggest problem you'll have is most tracks take a minute or three to get going, and mixed albums are rare.
what i tend to do is save net radio streams (which are mostly 1 or 2 hour mixed sets) to computer and then transfer over to ps3. psy-radio (http://81.88.37.2:8010) is a good example, along with Chromanova, Swedish Mushroom, etc (all on shoutcast radio in winamp)
thanks for the suggestions, I will check these out. Wipeout HD might be cheap, but it`s going to cost me a fortune in music.
Well that certainly had me confused hahaha. I was trying out the music of the PS2 game Kinetica, to see which fitted the game. Some of them don't (Unless you really like high-pitched choirs), but among the songs that work and that I was able to identify (Some sadly are numbered because I could not find their titles), there is "Energy Flow" by Vitae. You can listen to it in my Sebenco Reverse video, or in this one.
ClasssicF-Zero music nice
Seems like your thread Blackwiggle has picked up a fair bit of momentum.
I got some nice old school Ministry of Sound that works quite nice with Wipeout HD.
This disk is perfect, its the "Ministry of Sound: The 2003 Disk 2 - Mixed By Ultrasun". Pure good **** for sure, guaranteed to give anyone satisfaction.
Put it on track 17 'Love Me More (Club Mix) - Ultrasun, and let it rip on zone mode, very euphoric. Then let it play to the end of the CD.
Here is some more of this guys work:
