Default Personal soundtrack recommendations & examples

    As the headlines say....BUT.

I want/need to actually HEAR what I might be in for before I decide what tracks I might add to my WO HD personal soundtrack.

I checked the forum guidelines before I posted this thread,so all should sit well with this thread.

SO,as it seems amazon has most tracks available regarding having a short listen to before you purchase, well why not use that for expressing your particular favorite track, one you think others would enjoy and music that you, personally think suits the game.

I've got this one to start off.

    Artist:Jeff Beck
    Album:You had it coming
    Appropriate game tracks:Earthquake,Roys Toy,Rosebud.

    http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=6jClYvlRwko
    E.S. Posthumus - Pompeii
    http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=GusLypfx7OQ

Utah Saints - Something Good 08

    And finally,
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart (perfect for a chaotic race or in Pulse, an eliminator)

That should do for now, surely?

Pendulum, some old Ministry of Sound and some good old 90s dance/trance titles as well do the trick

I primarily listen to this only. Very trance like, never too distracting.

    http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Room-Rele...3990060&sr=8-1

I didn't see a place to give it a preview listen, but I'm sure there is one. It's 2 discs, each disc is around an hour of music. Just start them up and fly. Works best with the music resume option, as each track is so long.

    The Muse,

It seems ,thought having potential... needs .basically... editing.

What I think ,or dare I say it.....my idea for this threads content was to enable others to circumvent soundtrack problems....

Not so much as content as such, more of a ......I could race to that.

ADMIN's beware ....There is a whole sub culture of WO HD fans that are hard at it making their own little soundtracks.

In all honesty,I think a Sub forum might be in order regarding this.....it's going to blg.

    wut?

It's in my personal soundtrack, and I recommend using it because I like zoning to Autechre. It helps you focus.

Or what, are we judging music taste here?

Thought I'd share my personal WipEout playlist...one song for every track...it's kinda all over the place, much like my broad taste in music, but I like it...LOL. It alternates between male and female vocalists:

    1) Better Off Alone - Alice Deejay
    2) The Distance - Cake
    3) Not Gonna Get Us - t.A.T.u.
    4) Mr. Self Destruct - Nine Inch Nails
    5) Stakeout - Freezepop
    6) Them Bones - Alice in Chains
    7) Tesko Suicide - Sneaker Pimps
8] Killing In The Name - Rage Against The Machine
    9) Sugar Is Sweeter - CJ Bolland
    10) Holier Than Thou - Metallica
    11) Sugar - Ladytron
    12) The Sharpest Lives - My Chemical Romance
    13) Boys Wanna Fight - Garbage
    14) Jerry Was A Race Car Driver - Primus
    15) Ready To Go - Republica
    16) Forest - System of a Down

Default Custom Soundtrack (111 technological tracks)

    Hello everyone

This is my first post, so hi all!

I hope thats all right, if not, feel free to delete this post, I'll post it in the other thread.
I know this is no download forum, but I hope its still allright posting it here in the discussion forum.

Okay, I have selected 111 tracks of my big music archive which I think fit very good with Wipeout HD. I'll "continue" the style of Wipeout, so they are mostly technological tracks.
I didn't just choose my favourite songs, I though how they would fit with wipeout. Well, taste differs, but I think you'll like it.
I have recut and edited some of the files and every file has the same Volume (95DB) and shouldn't contain any clipping.
If you turn Music to 100% and Sound FX to 60-70% it should be on the same Volume.

The Soundtrack consists of House, D'n'B, Electronic and Trance.
For some tracks you got to be a fan of that genre to like it, so don't bother with this pack if you aren't into Technological Stuff.

This pack is huge, so just downloading 1GB and then say no thanks is a bit harsh, so I made a little preview, featuring some tracks of every genre.

I hope you don't mind if its on Youtube:
Wipeout HD - Private Customsoundtrack Preview

In addition I screened the playlist, so you can see the titles and artists. Few tracks don't have specific titles and artists.

    Page1:

    Page2:

    Page3:

    Download it from Dropbox:
    Part 1
    Part 2

    Password: fury

I uploaded it in two parts (without compression, so the extraction will be very fast!) because I don't know if Dropbox's DL Speed differs depending on how late it is! I downloaded with 450kb/s at 2pm GMT+1, so I think its allrighty.

Hope you like it. If you've downloaded the pack and tested it, I'd like to read your feeback, I hope for negative ones so I can improve my pack and give little updates as a seperate file.

    Thank you.

(Sorry for the little trouble Admin/Mods)

I have two different playlists I use for Wipeout. My main Wipeout playlist and a Wipeout test playlist. I'm always looking out for new music to play Wipeout to and I put new songs in the test playlist before deciding if I want to add them to the main list

Here's some of what I have in my main Wipeout playlist. Mostly it's trance/techno but I've managed to throw in some BGM and vocal music from a couple of anime series that work with Wipeout.

    Cold Storage - Cairodrome
    Cold Storage - Cardinal Dancer
    Cold Storage - Cold Comfort
    Cold Storage - DOH T
    Cold Storage - Messij
    Cold Storage - Operatique
    Cold Storage - Tentative
    Cold Storage - Transvaal
    Fluke - Atom Bomb
Future Sound of London - Landmass
Future Sound of London - We Have Explosive
Future Sound of London - We Have Explosive (Herd Killing)
Zirenz - Edge of Space (Whiteroom Remix)
Armin Van Buuren - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson Remix)
Armin Van Buuren - Rush Hour
Airwave - Lady Blue (Original Edit)
Ferry Corsten - Show Your Style (ft. Birgit)
    Ferry Corsten - Beautiful
Ferry Corsten - Rock Your Body, Rock
    Rammstein - Engel
    Rammstein - Engel (English Version)
    Rammstein - Sonne
    Mike Foyle - Firefly
Filo & Peri ft. Eric Lumiere - Anthem
Sophie Sugar - Call of Tomorrow (John O'Callaghan Remix)
    Adam White/Martin Grech - Ballerina
Thomas Bronzwaer - Shadow World (Original Mix)
    Paul Oakenfold - Burns Attack
    Mami Kawada - PSI-missing

This is but a handful of tracks I like listening to while playing (particularly Zone)
