Did you tried to fire in short bursts at the first stages? That's your best chance to rack up as many points as you can before reaching the higher stages, especially here. If you're lucky enough to spot several bombs in your path, the better.

Nevertheless, Elite Detonator trials are hard; you are not the one with problems in those pesky trials.

thanks, i do try to hit every shot, getting to 10 and 15 chain bonuses and always take the left side, and one of the final rounds, i go to the left, since it built up with bombs, it's full so i just spray crazy in there getting 10 chains easily

Is it possible to barrel roll yourself to death in speed lap? :/ I imagine you'd just get your health to 16, roll, and then hit a wall, and I've come close but I've never actually managed it.

No. In that case, your energy will always decrease to 15% even if you're at 16%. Also, in Speed lap, there is an auto-regeneration function.

O_o This is the first time I hear that someone can destroy him/herself during a Speed lap session! I never managed to "kill myself" in such sessions (maybe I wasn't barrel rolling enough), but that wasn't something I wondered back then, so I assumed it wasn't possible to lose all the energy of your ship.

Same situation here; from the looks of it, the energy refused to drop lower than 18, but it's hard to tell.

It's more like 3-5 times faster than flying over Speed Pads.

About twice the speed than the speed pads if I'm not mistaken. For turbos I can't tell an accurate amount because it depends of how and where you boost.

Around 25 seconds is a "fast time", not the fastest but pretty good.
