Default 2008-09-26: We don't have the power, captain!

    She canny take it!

Yesterday, whilst hitting the refresh button and painstakingly watching the progress bar as WipEout HD downloaded to your PS3, you might have noticed some outage for the site at the most inappropriate time.

This was due to the server host choosing to replace the power supply for the server. They have been duly slapped for making such an ill timed move.

Ye canny change the laws of physics!

Yes that was what I was thinking too! I hoped to see a new date with most users online!

BTW; it was funny to see almost everyone on my friendlist playing Wipeout HD, but our administrator was playing Burnout!

I tend to sleep from 6 AM to 2 PM lOcal time EVery day.

At least if I'm writing something or drinking too much tea.

    --------

Who in their right mind replaces a power supply at a time of peak load?

    Or maybe it was failing?

I'm going with the bad judgement probability theory.

Dunno about the cool part, but about half or more of my waking time is at night. In winter short days, it tends to be substantially more than half.

I fear that the thread has wandered off topic.

At night it's dark, like what happened to the server.
The server went dark... Get it?

    (Pathetic attemps I know)

We'll have to stop off at that mining planet in the dinky little star system in the third quadrant of the fourth nebula to the right of Zeta Prime Reversi so we can get some fresh dilithium crystals.

Rob was alluding to it in his original post; so I was playing off that.
