yes 5 days... and the day after it releases I am driving to Orlando to meet Jeff Rubenstein at the PlayStation.Blog Meet-Up. SONY is buying everyone some homestyle BBQ (and sweet tea) and Jeff even said that he would bring WipEout HD to the meet because *I* like it so much! LOL And he also says that we are going to play games for PRIZES!! Hahaha, I hope they don't have a WipEout HD tournament, for their sake! Bwahaha!

I’ll be there! Taking the day off and driving three hours coming from Clearwater Beach. By the way that map reminds me of *The Last Guy.

Hmm, well since you’re such a WipEout fan, maybe I’ll have to bring it along…

And 3 hours from Clearwater?? You can make better time than that!

That would be awesome! You’ll know me when you see me, I’ll be the guy wearing the WipEout HD shirt. And 3 hours is my modest estimation, I could hit some turbo boosts on the way there but my driving record here in FL is nothing short of Phantom Class, which means I’m on the verge of being Contender Eliminated. =(

    Unhappy

I have a problem, I have just moved to Newcastle to Uni, and though I have free WiFi access I am unable to connect with my PS3. This is not good.

No HD for me until I can get this sorted........

Can't you temporarily connect it to a internet source so you can download the game atleast? That way you can get some practise in for online mode when you do sort yourself out

Yeah am going to have to make friends with someone who has a house and their own internet! That is my mission for the next 4.5 days. Am going to make a plea that due to my course (Computer game Software Engineering) It would be helpful for me to be allowed access to the network.

    Worth a try anyway.

    On a bicycle, perhaps?

Shouldn't take but about two hours, should it? And that's allowing for a lot of slow-downs through towns. Of course, if one stops to have dinner...

Just a few more days until we can start the longest download ever. Any takers on how bad the speed of the download will be? I'm betting something along the lines of 2-3 hours for the full download to complete once a bunch of people start trying to purchase the game.

I live just outside of Orlando, but I have no transport. I probably wouldn't be attending even if I had a car 'cos there's other things higher on the priorities list now. If it were a WipEout convention, now thAt would be a different thing.

I just bought myself an LCD TV too, amazingly lucky timing... and I've got all day Friday off work. I keep hearing that guy from Total Recall saying "He's not gonna want to come back..."
