Yep, I don't yet have HD equipment at home. Will do some high-res pics when I get back to work.

Hmm, I certainly never took out another ship myself, but I do think I remember one "contender eliminated" during one of my races... Sorry, I'm usually the guy who absorbs weapons to get more barrel rolls - inspite my dislikings for them.

Ben, you should get an HDMI-DVI/VGA adapter so you can play it on your monitor

LOL, you're probably right. But if it wasn't for Rock Band, my PS3 would be seated in another room with no monitor in reach. Well, I thought about getting an affordable Widescreen monitor and use it as DVD/consoles screen...

The "Feisar" add at the first picture looks a bit wierd, though

Re: the six-axis controller: From Ars Technica, concerning the release of Dual-Shock controllers:

''The controllers will feature all the original technology of their Sixaxis brethren, such as motion-sensing and Bluetooth capabilities, and will carry an MSRP of $54.99. After the current stock of Sixaxis controllers have been sold, no more will be made.''

The full article, including a list of what games the controllers will work with, is here:

considering the rapid phase-out of the all digital PS controlpad that's not terribly surprising. I don't think I've seen comments from anyone that they prefer the sixaxis to a dualshock for weight and functionality.

    alas, poor sixaxis.
    Ye shall not be missed

You do see one now. ;) To me, rumbling fingertips are among the most useless things I've experienced in the last years of video and computer gaming. Not that I believe anyone agrees with me, but still... :)

Well, I've always considered the 'sixaxis'-part of the PS3 controller to be the motion sensing, so I guess it won't really die, since the Dualshock 3 also has that. And even if you're not fond of rumble (I certainly am), you still gotta appreciate the added weight. The sixaxis just felt like a cheap piece of trash because it was so very lightweight. If there are sound engineers for closing car door sounds, someone really should've thought of the sixaxis weight issue.

Was there supposed to be one? It's just info about one of the things being discussed in this thread.

Precisely my point. I know I can mostly turn off the rumble - but I just LOVE the lightweight feel of that controller! Switching between PS3 and 360 almost feels like going back to an antique gamepad of the video game stone age era. Light is good. :-)
I might add, though, that apart from weight and rumble, I do think Microsoft's current controller to be the best ever made!

Hrmmm, didn't think somebody would actually like the lightweight sixaxis. I think it just feels cheap. And I love rumble. Reason I didn't already buy a PS3 is that I'm still hoping a DualShock3 Bundle hits before wipEout HD does.
