im so confused with the Rankings

ok im not sure how the ranking system works but iv had the same score in the ranking table for nearly three weeks. even tho iv been playing online and winning the majority of my races. im currently ranked 40. but im steadily getting lower. any info on how the ranking works would b greatly appreciated. thanks
