    Hi folks.

    This is my first post.

Here's a cool pic I took during an Elimination event.

Jesus, Karl - did you do that on purpose?!

KayJ is Karl Jones - designer of many a wonderful track in both Pure and Pulse. I assume that shot was taken on a dev kit, so Karl does have legitimate access to all of the teams.

My guess is that, the same way as the Zone models' clean and polygonal look indicate that it is a VR simulation, the Extermination skins' rough metallic look indicate that Extermination events are held with ships assembled with cheaper material that still maintain the ships' original properties but won't cost a fortune if destroyed. Sort of cheaper ship clones/prototypes.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. They were supposed to look more like fighter planes (ie, grey), but ended up a bit more metallic and militaristic than I'd originally intended.

My first plan was to do chunky, armoured tank-like versions of the ships ... which might suggest they moved slower, or handled more sluggishly. When Colin & co decided there'd be no difference in Eliminator handling, I settled for a new paint job instead.

    Nice one Karl
    hahahhaahahah

I like this thread and the ship paint thread I think its ace and proves that despite some people thinking such things are pointless and useless, that actually when it comes down to it, extras outside the 'game' such as photomode and ship painting are actually quite cool features

I'll post some pics next week when I make it back to work

and yeah the elim ships are cool, designer by eggy to be a 'series' as such, we had some ideas for fairly diff ship models and egg says, but we didnt have time to impelemnt diff handling across the board (small tweaks yes but really had we gone down the route I'd have wanted quite diff handling to match chunky tanks)

anyway, its cool seeing all the screens people take

What do you think about making a voting for the best Photo of the Week?
Everybody could post few photos and at the end of the week everybody will vote but not for your own photos

Here's one of my very first Pulse pictures. Such an awesome addition to the game. Great job with this feature!

Whoa! Haha, what a coincidence with that Medusa's picture, because the picture my friend took from my Pulse is really, really close to the same shot. Just compare it!

And now the direct picture of one really artistic shot with everything and nothing in it:
