Question about Zone races

Is it possible to complete a Zone race without destroying your ship?

Nope, laps are infinite. It only ends once your craft is destroyed

i don't wanna hijack the thread, but how exactly do you advance through the zones? by staying some time above a certain speed threshold? or by racing a given distance?

do the speedpads have an influence on how fast you complete your current zone?

From my experience all you have to do is stay alive for as long as possible.

Zones go up every 10 seconds. Speed pads give you extra points and help you complete a lap faster before the speed gets up.

Only for score and loyalty points. If you're only going for a medal, then no.

You get loyalty points for zones, perfect zones, laps and perfect laps
