    Cool

Sigh. Okay. I'm trying again to show my precious. kiTTun's new wipEout machine is here:

WipEout: conquering technological ineptitude one linky at a time.

(P.S. Are the image sizes quoted under the thumbnails the size of the thumbnails or the image once clicked? As in, am I breaking guidelines putting that many thumbnails in at once??)

By the way, MclarensMPS -Love the Piranha scheme. Looks great!! I'm very partial to red and black...

I just got Pulse on thursday, shortly before the skin editor went "Loading Textures..." , but yesterday I took a closer look at skinning and, with the help of your topics, produced the first of my series of EG.X Cedacian Bancho skins. :3

    http://pspforum.cedacia.com/cedacian_bancho_model_1.jpg

Cedacian Bancho Model 1 is not much of a looker but, now that I am a bit more used to the EG.X's skin rigging, Model 2 is underworks and should feature nicer details and, hopefully, a cleaned up color palette.

Writing my PSN name "AoNekoAmaru" in kanji wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I sure just had enough pixelwidth to make it fit while still being readable. XD

Love the glow effect on that blue EG.X. Really nice.

I need to start actually playing the game rather than making skins but here's yet another. Anyone know what it is?

Ok i finally made some really nice changes to my model. I think now all it really needs is the asegei name on the two sticking out bits near the front of the ship. Does it look better now?

wow, you guys created some totally awesome skins!

i kept it quite simple and made a ship of my favourite band, still needs some enhancement though:

That's the Qirex Piranha from the cover of 2097 and actually in the game on N64?

Yep, Swift Killer, it's the Qirex/Piranha from the 2097 cover. Sort of. An approximation.

Finally made my EG.X to an EG.r
At least in terms of color sheme

It's almost all done pixel-by-pixel as I wasn't very pleased how Photoshop dealed with the bitmaps and the anti-aliasing. Took me a few hour, but it was a lot of fun indeed
And no, it's not just plain brown, it's a basic brown color with another brown on it that makes it look a bit more like it's damaged. You can't see it pretty well on these images, though

    Anyway, hope you like it:

WOW! I love that one! That and the 2097 cover qirex are ma favorites so far. Oh, and yours has chevrons, too, which is cool (I agree with Egg on that one) And the only thing cooler than chevrons is RED chevrons!

    Question

everyone's skins are way nicer than mine

oh well, anyways, while in the editor, i noticed that the textures appear offset, will they be like that ingame, and will it effect my own paint job?

    @ BARTgai

no, the textures are as pixelated in-game as they are in the editor, but the game interpolates/anti-aliases the bitmaps, so you don't the see the sharp edges of the pixels

Left is the normal bitmap, right is how it will look like in-game.
That way textures look a lot better
