Well there aren't a huge amount of colours in there. What I'm doing mostly is keeping the colour schemes really simple so I can use the slots for more subtle variations of each colour. I'm also experimenting in Photoshop with dithering which sometimes works and sometimes looks slightly messy. You can see that at the bottom of the wing bit on the AG one - there are just loads of varied pixels which makes the colour transition looks smoother than it actually is. But on the nose design, it turned out a little messy and lost the crisp look I was trying to get with the logo.

I'm inspired by Supersocks' Goteki to do something much cleaner so I don't end up with all the dithering next time.

I have been trying to keep everything clean to, for example, with the orange/black, I played with the skin so that I only had 3 colours; Black, Grey and Orange, but still, I couldnt keep anything looking reasonably clean!

When you switch to the colour picker there are copy & paste icons at the bottom of the editor. So from there you just click copy to get it to the clip board and then paste it into your image editor of choice.

Click the Palette button, you'll find it there.

WOW! Awesome stuff to see here! I'm most impressed with supersocks' Goteki - sweet stuff! Unfortunately, Assegai and EG-x are a little complicated to color with their odd shaped textures. Need some more time with my special project

That Triakis is really nice. Love the colour.

I thought I'd get in first with a seasonal craft so here is my Assegai. Even though it's not all that different from Egg's template, this turned out to be quite tough due to the splits and the reversed textures. Happy Christmas all!

    Loving the skin DoggThang!

Egg, I'd love to see some of the skins you come up with!

I thought I would start a thread in the festive spirit of christmas; http://wipeoutzone.com/forum/showthr...4841#post74841

There seems to be an awful lot of this unnecessary quoting lark going on throughout the forums, Lance won't be too happy about it ain't hard to see why.

Here's my first attempt at a rough McLaren Piranha:

Probably a little too simple for my liking, but I will probably begin to add details later on. I spent quite a bit of time on it haha!

yeh kit, make it bigger -we need to see some details! :s

mid-race actionpacked pics will surely lose you the race the millisec it takes to pause the game, unless we get some good Replay mode :S
so here is an 'after race' pic of my second hand assegai

there was talk about a woz logo for all woz pilots. it would be prob'ly hard to get everyone here to use it, coz of design or whatever
so prehaps eveyone could spare a space on their craft and do some wo-zonish decal - spell the whole wipeoutzone
or even as simple as this - woz
