Other type? Twisted Metal isn't any type of racing. TM tends to feel right with crashbang startstop sorts of music where racing seems to work better with more sustained evenly paced music that doesn't vary in volume a lot or switch tempos [unless there's a slow acceleration of tempo.]. Okay, so I'm a bit old-fashioned in my racing music.

I could use some hard rock with Wipeout though... like Slipknot as an example. It may not have an evenly paced beat, but it has a constant one, and can get you quite energetic much like red bull...

    Mice Parade - Sneaky Red

Someone I met at a Karate concert recommended this band... it was in the Summer of 2005. I did not take time to check Mice Parade out. A couple of days ago I stumbled upon a CD of theirs in a record store, listened briefly, and bought it.

    I'm listening to two things:

    1. Daft Punk - Burnin'

Best house song EVER! *goes to defy what I just said by listening to Mothership Reconnection by Scott Grooves*

    2. The original score of Beowulf. No plot just pure unadulterated testosterone.

I admire your taste in lyrics.

If you like weird word sequences, try this: http://redwill.livejournal.com/

Yeah, it's mine. Blatant self-promotion to link it, but you might find part of it entertaining, especially the newest four entries.

Yeah, it might be blatant self-promotion, but hey, someone's gotta do it! Thanks for the linky!!

Yes, I loved the latest 5 or so entries the most. I love writing which appears to be written exactly as it was thought, straight from brain to paper. It simulates the author's thought patterns for others to (attempt to) understand in a way only complex music can come close to.

(And I am beyond impressed that you mention Akhenaton. One of the most interesting characters I've ever known about in Egyptian Pharaonic history.)

Akhenaten was one of the most interesting characters in all of history. But uh.. perhaps I digress too far and too long from the topic of the thread.

hm... Akhenat..on en an in un. Sheesh, it all works in mod English.

Buy it, use it, make it, fix it, trash it, change it, melt-upgrade it.
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it, snap it, work it, quick-erase it....

Yes, I find that song awesome as well.

Right now I'm listening to Funkstorung - I/O. Weirdness, thy name is IDM.

    The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist

    That boy needs therapy.
    Psychosomatic.
    That boy needs therapy.
    Purely psychosomatic.
    That boy needs therapy.
    Lie down on the couch.
    What does that mean?
    Your a nut!
    You're crazy in the coconut!
    What does that mean?
    That boy needs therapy.
    I'm gonna kill you.
    That boy needs therapy.
Ranagazoo, let's have it to you,
    On the count of three.
    Tha-tha-at-tha-that-tha-that boy needs therapy.
He was white as a sheet,
And he also made false teeth.

Weird, yes, but the best Australian song I've heard in a long time.

Kraftwerk is synth pop. Electro is a U.S. invention (think Africa Bambaataa), heavily influenced by synth pop but blends elements of funk.

    Haven't we covered this already?

Daft Punk is dance music, not house. I for one have never heard Daft Punk played in the house underground here in Toronto in my sixteen years on the scene.
