    Default Wipeout HD Gameplay video

This is what it looks like in the flesh (there's also a video of the trailer for those who haven't seen). I have to say it looks absolutely fantastic, the lines on the track will take getting some used to though.

That is rediculous!!! All HD Wipeouts will look this realistic?!?! Even the first Wipeout?!?!

Edit: It's just one track off of Pure with only the Missile as a weapon though... is that because it's a work in progress, or are they just not showing everything???

    All missiles! "MISSILE" "MISSILE" "MISSILE"
And i love the part where you are flying backwards and you can still hear the wrong way indicator.
Admittedly, the lines on the track will take a bit to get used to, but I can imagine it makes it look higher-detail than without lines.

    Wow. Amazing.

Definitely worth downloading the HD version though as a heads up, your computer may not be able to handle its playback. My couldn't, but I selected the "play every frame" option which gives a slow playback that doesn't skip.

Good show, Sony. This is the kind of thing that could convince me to take the plunge for a PS3.
