Awesome to see other peoples' music suggestions-- so far iTunes has made about $100 from this as I've bought songs or full CDs from Paul van Dyk, Chemical Brothers, Fluke, Junkie XL, Mason, Paul Kalkbrenner and others. Generally I prefer to buy physical CDs but for this kind of stuff-- mostly European releases that I may only want individual songs from-- iTunes is perfect.
I think the next groups I will check out is Orbital plus some of the more obscure stuff that is mentioned above.
Thanks again!
Frances, if you're interested in Orbital, I'd have to recommend albums called In Sides and Snivilisation. They're the best ones out there, pure Orbital, although I like The Altogether and Work 1989-2002 too really much. Well, to tell the truth, I haven't heard a bad track from Orbital yet.
Excellent, thanks for the tip, Shozo! I'm going to look up some of those on iTunes later tonight or tomorrow
Wipeout has definitely broadened my musical horizons over the past year or two!
+1 on Orbital's 'In Sides'. Really excellent album.
I've found that, to provide a satisfying, slightly comic, surprise to the usual soundtrack, throwing in Yello's "The Race" can't be beat. Discerning cinema-goers may recognise it from the classic "Nuns On The Run. Awesome.
My goodness, what the hell did I just watch?!!!
Ha! You thought that was weird, I just tried out a dance version of Copacabana (White Label Ultimix - apparently) in Moa Therma, literally awesome.
At the moment I have Kayo Dot (http://www.last.fm/music/Kayo+Dot) and At The Drive-In (http://www.last.fm/music/At+the+Drive-In) in my playlist. It's certainly a different Wipeout expierence...
This is probable wipeout-blasphemy but I've got Queen, Gorrilaz, foo fighters, snow patrol(*gasp*) and canon rock in my wipeout pulse folder.
(I can feel my reputation crashing into the red as I write this)
Blasphemy as in having guitar-based music in your Wipeout playlist or just plainly bad bands?
I kid.
Queen? Don't Stop Me Now? That would actually be cool.
Strangely it is "don't stop me now" I sing along using my wipeout lyrics though,You can see them here

Dieselboy - Dungeon Masters Guide.
24 tracks of pure drum and bass.
Sometimes swap it for The 6th Session by DB
What else can your ask for?
...
oh yeh, to be allowed more than the 30 track limit, so both albums can be put on
But seriously, Dieselboy is just PERFECT for Wipeout, well in my opinion anyway.

i havent put any custom songs in yet but im thinking of some psytrance
//side note
would it be illegal to rip the music from the UMD to listen on my ipod? cos i have the pure, 2097 and 3 soundtracks on it and i own all those games, just wondering what the legal side is on this
