I'd be playing if i still had my original copies of wipEout, 2097 & wip3outSE.
Alas it's probably been 6+ years without them

I do play the old WipEout fairly often - maybe twice a month. For me it's fun to compare the first game of the series with the others (2097, 3SE, etc.) and see how the graphics, the physics engine, etc. evolved from game to game.

You could download the first three WipEout games from the upcoming PSOne emulator service for PSP if you don't have access to the original versions anymore. That's what I'll be doing.

for those of you stuck with getting the PC version of the original WO to work you could try running it in Dosbox: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net

I gave my psOne away about years ago to a family friend who is about 7 now, so when i have to go there, i sometimes play the original wipEout game he has there, ah nostalga, you cant beat it.

but it will all lull for a bit untill the first shots of the ps3 version surface around E3'07 probably.

I got the original 3 WipEouts for PS1 on ebay. I'm currently playing through the first one and it is kicking my ass!

    Default I played it!

My first wipeout experience was a little frustating because i never finished it.

10years later I found the OST and decided to play it again. I blame just myself for loosing the PC cdrom. But At time i talk you the iso founded via the web work on my recent hardware (without music). Now i'm happy to see the secret level after all this time.
    Thanks the web!

yeah.. i play it.. i just got it a few months ago actually... i saw it on the movie Hackers and had been looking for it for years... finally ebay'ed it a few months ago and found it, excellent condition for dirt cheap.

After playing it, i think still think its a really good game, but i was disappointed that i didnt see the good stuff like we saw in the movie...

I just wonder if theres still any servers out there to play it against people through on netplay in epsxe.

    Lol eLhabib

Maybe he likes a nice girl on the grid like Ridge Racer. But serious i also remember something like flying through walls and needing to sideshift because of obstacles along the side of the track.
