I actually do need that version with the german writing, but that is not hard to find. Look at the beginning of this thread, and the combination is a regular wipeout 3(not se), that is combined with dd2. I have never seen this or been aware enough perhaps to notice it since I didn't know it existed.

Do I understand something wrong here?
As crunchysaviour said in his last post, it's actually not the standard-version. So who says there is a Wip3out/DD2-Pack?

There MIGHT be. There's one on that Puolenkuun-Pelit site (who a few of us asked via their contact-us form) that could be the WO3/DD2 pack. The one from Direct4entertainment is the Special Edition (brand new and at a good price too).

ONe I asked about on ebay was the actual wo3se version as well, but they showed the cover of regular wipeout 3.

I just bought the WO3SE + DD Pal from Ebay UK for = Aus $12 delivered.

Wow ,I can now see what you guys have been raving about, this versions great with the 3 tracks from the original series.
I can also see what you mean about the "Floatiness" of the ships, that threw me out a bit at the beginning, and I miss "Firestarter" soundtrack from 2097 bigtime!

Iv'e just done a 12 hour stint on this game,I'm going for all gold all tracks all ships all leagues, done 148 so far and 8 challenge + 2 prototype, only 298 to go not including the challenges.

Looks like some long stints ahead.

    I"m getting playstation "Thumb" again.

Are you running it on a PS2?

If so, don't forget to turn on faster disk access and texture smoothing - works a treat with W3SE.

    Yeh P2,
I had already put the texture smoothing but not the faster disc acess, that might get rid of a few glitches Iv'e had with it mid race.

That and the suoerhuman blunder of not realising that I thought I had space in the memory card I had in the P2 yesterday,I didn't.

12 hour stint and nothing saved.

Maybe you had space but you can't use it.
AFAIK you need a PS1-memory card to save the game. the PS2-memory card won't work.

I fell afoul of that just recently. Although PS1 memory cards cost less than £5 now usually.

Over here in germany you can get ps1 memcards (sony original) for a maximum price of 3 EURO a piece. Really cheap stuff!

currently a few of these going cheap and cheerful on ebay.

here and here too, though the second one looks slightly iffy as you`ll see by the picture. Still I guess the seller could clear up the mystery. At the prices of the buy it now ones you can`t go wrong, and he has three available, so buy one now if you don`t have this game and you know what`s good for you.

With the second one, his feedback suggests he's reliable so I'm sure it's just an incorrect photo. His other items have the correct pictures. Can't hurt to ask though.

When I was looking for 3SE on eBay over a year a I saw the 3SE/DD2 bundle, but I didn't want it because it wasn't pure SE. I found one that was hot for bids and at no suprise, it had a thick case, complete with manual and in perfect condition. The only drawback was that it had '7405' written in sharpie on the disc and manual, but I was fine with that. I love the thing. I was never going to find one here in New Zealand because there were only 30 copies released here.

Yes SE are no easy task to find but I have three original copies here but I simply cannot depart there! So I`m hope you can find the proper disc for you.

Oh!, welcome to the board and enjoy....

where did you get that info?
that comes as somewhat of a surprise.. I remember seeing 2 copies in store at one point at a central park store.. and the copy I own was formerly the property of civic video.. I also hired a copy from a blockbuster some time ago.

I find it hard to believe that of all the copies of this game in the country I have made contact with more than 10 percent of them.
also I see it on trademe more often than you might think

if you are right, then... yay me!
