Default "MESSIJ" RETURNS to Wipeout in the next Update!

    http://www.gaming-age.com/news/2005/9/30-125

Per gaming ages update, the download of Classic Pack 3 coming this Tuesday Oct 3rd will have:

    Vohl Square (track)
    Icaras (ship)
    Icaras (skin)
Classic Tunes 3 - Cold Storage - Messij
Classic Tunes 4 - Cold Storage - Operatique

My Wipeout Pure is complete. Messij has always been my favorite Wipeout song, and they've brought it back for the diehards. Thanks Wipeout team!

Because up here in Canada, Tuesday is the 4th... or is that just a canadian thing?

I second Messij as best ever wipeout track.

The new track and ship look ok as well.

I would have liked Tentative over Operatique, but we get Messij which as people have said is one of the best tunes ever in a Wipeout game.

I love Messij too. I even found an ancient tape in my car the other day, shoved it on, and there it was. I must have taped the soundtrack all those years ago ...

Incidentally, the songs were picked from a poll we had in the studio.

Even more proof that the guys and gals at SL have good taste.

So then Egg, can we expect any more classic Cold Storage content in the future?

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but my fears came true -- you can't hear most of what composes the song -- the pumping bass beat. It's lost unless you're wearing headphones. I LOVE this track. LOVE it to death, it's on three of my driving mix CDs. But I think you'll notice that the tracks that came with the game seemed to take this speaker constraint into account.

What? Some of you out there are playing Pure with just the built-in speakers? You're losing so much on the sound quality!
