Default 2097/xl challenge 2 challenge - "World Champion"!

    this challenge is now closed.
But feel free to add your challenge 2 times to compare with the rest!

    the challenge is:
get the lowest overall time in 2097 or xl Challenge 2 without using the Piranha.

    the rules are:
Available ships are Feisar, AG-Sys, Auricom and Quirex.
    Stick2Trax!
Times must come from a single challenge - not the best race times overall.
If you fail to qualify for the next race, add 30 seconds to your overall time for each failure as well as the final race time for that track. This stops dodgy types  deliberately not qualifying to get a better time
    Weapons On.

Write your times down as you go then post your individual race times (+ failures) and overall time here, as well as what ship you used.
there will be a prize for the best overall time, and a prize for the best time with each of the other ships (that weren't used for the top time) - four prizes altogether, and no-one will get more than one prize (even if they're faster), so here's your chance to shine with the Feisar and get something sweet in return. Prizes will be chocolatey or similar. Don't expect anything too fancy, especially if I'm posting it to the States!
Best time overall is WO2097/xl World Champion!

last time for posting times is: 12am BST (=GMT+1) (midnight) on 1st August. That gives you a month.
    Go!
    thanks Lunar!

well then. my attempt to divert interest away from Pure and back to 2097 was not altogether successful
But well done to the 4 other pilots who attempted this challenge, it was tough...

    anyway, congratulations to:
me! with AG Systems, I had the fastest time at 21:36.0! smashing

next best time in a Feisar(!) is Tullinge with 24:05.7. what a great time with such a slow ship.

then, with first place with Auricom is Lunar with a time of 24:10.8. Beaten by a Feisar! Still, nice try.

no-one attempted the challenge with a Quirex, probably wisely.

So, prizes to Tullinge and Lunar. And thanks to Skipper and Assegai Developments for their attempts, and to everyone else who tried.

Sorry Mo i am a bit late it seems .
Despite of that i am happy to have a short break in my ' zone Pure quest '.
Pure is fantastic but 2097/XL is a step over.
That's why i decided to 'N-Gage ' this cool challenge
I ve respected the rules : no shorcuts allowed ( arghhh you kill me with that : ) it was so weird for me to respect 2097's billboards, not to fly everywhere like an hungry pterodactyl ( my new nick by Drakkenmensch héhéhé i luv that one 8O ).
Anyway i ve started by only 2 attempts per ships ( except pirahna )
Here's my results ( the ' * ' symbolizes number of contenders eliminated mostly by plasma )

*grins* I can really see you as a pterodactyl - a large armor plated bird flying high when everyone tells you that aerodynamics couldn't possibly keep you off the ground, but you don't care - flying is hardwired into every cell of your body

One reason why I originally thought of this challenge was from wondering which was the all-round fastest ship in 2097, taken across all tracks, and apart from the Piranha of course. I always suspected it was Auricom, which is why I chose it for the challenge, though I forgot to turn in a decent performance. ops: I wonder if these results confirm this or not.
