Default Anyone want to play Wipeout Pure online?

I've got my copy of Wipeout Pure and I'll have my PSP later this week. So who wants to play online using XLink?

For those who don't know you can play PSP games which only support local multiplayer (direct connections between PSPs), like Wipeout Pure, over the internet using tunneling software like Xlink. You will need a wireless 802.11b adapter for your PC to make it work and the setup is a bit involved but it does work for other non-internet enabled PSP games (like Darkstalkers and Ridge Racers).

[I know this is my first post, but this is not a spam for XLink. I really, really, really want to play other people online in Wipeout.]

I've found one that people say is compatible for $20US (not including shipping) here: http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductD...ourceID=k15506

I should get it Friday or Monday. After I get it working I will probably make my own guide for setting up XLink and Wipeout Pure. There is a "how to" guide on the XLink forums though it is a bit difficult to follow: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5649.

No. A router will work for games that support internet play (infrastucture mode) but it will not work for games, like Wipeout Pure, that only support direct play (ad-hoc mode).

To use the XLink software you have to connect the PSP directly to your PC. You can not run the XLink software on a router. Basiclly you need to connect your PC to the internet and connect the PSP wirelessly to your PC running the XLink software.

No cables required! It is wireless after all.
