Strange Weapon Icon..HELP!

Quick question this,

what is the wapon called with the icon which is a face winking at you and what does it do?

it doesn say in the manual and i dont have the game anymore so i wont find out that way.

its for multiplayer use, as i havent had any kind experience in this field i cant tell you what it is, the manual says "Whats this? this weapon is very subtle but useful, you work it out" i would also like to know what it is.

I do believe that that one is the "Control Reverser". Check GameFAQs to be sure.
It's only for multiplayer because it swaps left and right on your controller. Pretty much causing an instant (and hilarious!) crash on the part of your opponent.

It is called 'Whats This?'
Basically it disables the ships weapon reconition system so they cant arm themselves while it is activated.

side note its called an ecm pod, its amazing when you just look at your manual and your even looking for it and it appears at the bottom of the page :wink:
