I did download it before, but I think I lost it in a re-format and now the site has closed down

Is there any way to extract the sounds at all? I like them too and have to sit with with a minimised browser to hear em, one day they may vanish for ever

You can use something like flash miner to extract the .swf files from the site. Not sure what the policy on doing this is though. You might want to check with the mods first.
