2097 Screen resolution

Is it possible to get the screen resolution of the PC version of 2097 up to 1024x768? So far mine only goes to 640x480. Are any patches avalible to get the resolution higher?

my version already allows 1024. i thought that was standard, so i don't know of a patch for it. however, i usually only run it at 800 x 600; it seems a bit smoother framerate that way. my comp runs at 500 Mhz and uses an integrated AGP board.

Yeah, 1024*768 is the max.

I have no idea why your's only goes to 640*480, as even my demo I used to have of 2097 went up to 800*600 res.

Sucky thing for me is that it still runs too fast, even at 1024*768.

I wish they had a 1280*1024 option, not only does it look way better on my computer, but hopefuly it would run better as well.

yeah, thats very interesting, I have long searched for an 1024x768 Wipeout version.
The problem is that my wipeout 2097 only supports up to 800x600. Since I got an other Wipeout2.exe file (only a hacked file without movie-sequence support, but hey: 1024x768 pixel can be selected, and now the best: you can also select RGB Emulation or Ramp Emulation.
RGB and Ramp are usually only selectable in Demo-Versions!

I dont now what file is this, but I am angry that there is no movie support (even movie files are right there)

Now I heard from Lance that he has a 1024x768 version. Now the important questions:
-Is your game a full version?
-are you able to select RGB/Ramp?

If this is true, plleeeassse, I need this wipeout2.exe file, it is very rare.
I have bought Wipeout2097/xL seven times, but I have paid money for nothing, all seven games are only up to 800x600 (and no RGB/Ramp, only D3D)

I need software mode to play it at 30fps (at D3D it runs with 60-80fps -> unplayable!)
I need 1024x768 (D3D) for my old and slow graphic-card (it also runs at 30fps, only WinXP, ME too fast again)

I really hope you can help me out, I searched and searched a long time, I love this game, I don't want to miss it.

That's teh reason I haven't been playing WO2097 PC for years. :( Could you please send me the cracked .exe by e-mail or drop me en ICQ message if it's bigger than 2 or 3 MB? I'd be SO gratefull! :)

that would be great, but the maximum the game allows is 1024 x 768, and apparently some don't allow over 800 x 600. i've seen a Gare d'Europa demo that was like that.

my version allowed ramp emulation and RGB and permitted a max res of 1024 x 768, but trust me on this one, play the PSX console version, far more satisfying. and, in addition, you can play against the other WipeoutZone members in the records tables, which is the most satisfying thing of all
