Default Win a Tigron model! - UK entrants only

You've all been going on about how to get your hands on one of these things. Well Playstation UK is giving one away! All you need to do is follow them on Twitter and retweet this message for a chance to win

    https://twitter.com/PlayStationUK/st...20851574407168

As it's a UK based competition, I'm afraid it's only open to entrants from the UK

I want this in my life, although with over 200 retweets the odds are looking slim D:

Kinda wish they were offering the painted Tigron from the livestream, but hey can always hire someone to paint it. (Unless you're good at painting yourself like Charlie )

With 3D Printing becoming a commonness I see no problem to produce something like that by yourself. And this Tigron was definitely printed by the looks of it.
All you need is a file with 3D model, that can be found here on this forum, and this magnet thing that can be bought anywhere you want.
Yeah, you'll have to spend money, but hey, you'll be able to get yourself a ship of your favourite team, not just some god-forsaken Tigron.

I started 3D printing a couple Feisar ships two years ago, see photos here, page 6 onwards: http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/sho...-images)/page6

I gave up because the results weren’t up to my expectations. With a better printer, maybe one day, again.

@AdHoc, too many small details. A printer with higher resolution is needed. I guess two years was enough for this technology to advance.
But nonetheless your feisar looks impressive, a little bit ragged, sure, but if you paint it maybe it won't be noticeable.
I was thinking to start with 2048 ships, they are less detailed then less artefacts will pop up I guess.

PS. How does it feel to have a materialized WipEout ship in your hand in real life?

I'm salty again because I apparently live on the wrong side of the channel for such stuff

Painting ABS is not as easy as it seems. I reckon stickers could have worked better, like they did with the Tigron at the playlist live event.

It feels amazing, I still have them in a box. What you need is a bigger printer with better resolution, because the smaller you print, as you mentioned, the more you lose detail.

    Those are incredible!

Man, I'd love a little Feisar like that.

You want SLS 3D printing ;-)

Although you'll have to get it printed by a company though, because even though there are a couple tailored for customer use, they're still 12K and up

And yes, like everyone else, bummer this is UK only, then again, I wouldn't expect to win anyway, so eh, just cool to see PSN give one away

As a WipEout fan in the USA, I totally know how you feel.

These are great attempts. Hopefully you that higher res 3d printer you may get someday comes sooner than later! I'd love to see you fully flesh out that Feisar and eventually AG Sys Fury.

I've got a Jeweller where I work that 3D prints Titanium rings and the like.
I'd ask how much to do a Wipeout craft, but I'm sure it would be ridiculously expensive, plus I know there is a problem with 3D printing any angles that are less the 35%.

There was Alien99 who posted back in 2006 on how to make printed paper models of the Wipeout craft.
