Default Twitch and YouTube Streams Thread

So, as the game's release closing in, let's give WipEout some visibility!

Thanks to the power of the PS4, we can stream directly our races and time trials to Twitch! And also share our clips and highlights. We can also stream our tournaments and events, and expand it to a broader audience than Youtube.

So here's a thread where we can share and centralize our Twitch channels and tell when we are streaming, and also post our best (or worst) moments, our best times and performances.

And of course, for the people who already have some capture cards to record their times, you can stream to Twitch using software like OBS or XSplit. There are various tutorials.

However, it's better if you have a high upload speed. As WipEout is very fast paced, it will need higher bitrates to be shown in its glory. So be sure to have at least 3 Mbps in upload speed to ensure the quality of the stream will be good. Of course, nothing prevents you from streaming if you have a bad connection (like 1 Mbps) but it might become a pixel salad!

Good idea. Sharing setups may also be handy for anyone wanting to get into it. I strongly recommend XSplit, it's what I used for my 24h stream a few years back, lovely bit of software.

I won't be joining the party for a while as my internet isn't good enough.

I'm sure a few people here will be curious to see how a competent Wipeout player fares on the one Wipeout game they've never played (204

I'll be streaming and hopping into the 2048 campaign as soon as Omega drops. I may or may not just stick to the PS4's built-in Twitch capabilities since I have a headset for audio and my Hauppauge won't pick up audio if I have it plugged in (which sucks).

Yeah, I thought about this too! It's a great idea.
I have a new connection, usually the speedtest says 9,5 Mb/s in download and 4,9 Mb/s in upload. But everytime I do the " verify connection " on PS4 it says my upload is 2,9 . But I think the real result is the one given by the speedtest, well at least I hope so! So I'll be able to stream something?

PS4's connection test servers are pretty bad. For me it's completely random between 20 and 180 down and 6-10 up.

Does this look like 20 down and 6 up, Sony?

But in all seriousness, you should be fine streaming the game. I don't know what the PS4 uses for its settings but 720p/30fps and 2/2.5 mbps should work fine.

(( Youtube's 720p/30fps videos are 3 megabit, if that helps to judge what the expected quality would be. Their 1080p/30fps videos are 8 megabit. Don't know what their 60fps videos are though. ))

Damnnn, your connection is like a dream in my zone i
Well then, 720p is good enough, I think I'll give a try these days with other games or just wait Omega release and go straight with it
