One Must Fall! 2097 is a fighting game made for MS-DOS in 1994, and published by Epic Megagames, who would become legendary for games such as Tyrian and Unreal. In the game OMF 2097, you are a human piloting a giant robot, with the intent of beating the crap out of other peoples' giant robots.
Also, the Power Plant theme (or as I like to call it, High-Volt Rave) was used in Freeman's Mind, Episode 2.
