It's lame that he had to change his track selections because of his opponents whining, but that stance about the speed class is total BS. Being able to keep a clean race line and eek out every millisecond of time in slower classes is as much a skill as getting around the tracks at phantom speed.
Even the fastest phantom pilots cannot do what texasalex can do at venom speeds.
By that logic, maybe the only true measure of a pilot skill is zone battle since that is technically where the fastest speeds will appear. It's a weak stance for competition.
