Games Convention Leipzig
Yihaa, HD playable in Leipzig where do I sign up? Is there an English page? Max will you be there too? Please answer in the Leipzig thread I made! I hope to see you there and others from the zone as well.
Ahhhhh! lucky Mad-bad-pad-man i envy you matey :hyper
Now I really wish I was there. No doubt it'll be great! :g
dam! I wish I was there too, can't wait for something to play on my big black grill other than dvd's and bluerays!

:g Video of HD in action! No offence to whoever controlled the ship during the demo but.... The air brakes should help you avoid the walls!
^^
Good find! Awesome to see the game in motion. And yeah, the driver sucks, but it's still good to see the gameplay :)
Definitely boosts my interest in the PS3, this does.
Yes good find! This vid doesn't impress me much for the moment, nothing really awesome, we're talking PS3, remember. But this game is not finished yet right? So I'm sure it's gonna change in a good way.
EDITING---
OK, I speaked too fast, actually I find this video on Chengou Project really much more realistic, even if the vid is in poor quality.

This one is just AI race

Go Chenghou! Nice vids, Benjahman! :hyper WipEout HD is looking great indeed. Thank goodness I've had a PS3 since Christmas! ;) Some very cool titles are coming out on that system.

These are some HD screenies. Looking beautiful, as usual. ;) I really like the Triakis craft. It looks very cool.

Looky! Gamespot goes hands-on with HD. A nice vid of Chenghou Project (with a halfway decent pilot, no less. ;))
The only problem I have in the article is one misspelled name: ANALUPHA PASS! Seriously GameSpot, WTF?
Nice find angryman.
I dunno what I think about the new airbrake sound. Do I like it, or is it obnoxious :S
i dont like the idea of using SIXAXIS, they should let us choose between d-pad, analogue and SIXAXIS, i think SIXAXIS could be used to aim non-lock weapons.
I think SIXAXIS control will be optional.... But that's just me. :?
Can't think how they would manage to implement SIXAXIS without turning aides or such. At least not for Phantom.
Heh. Funny how opinions can differ. I think the new military pattern for Triakis is the most boring and ugliest skin design for a wipEout craft in some time. No offend, just opinion. And you know how opinions are like a***oles :)Quote:

Or maybe I just dislike the colors. Would actually prefer it with "desert" colors to be honest.
'desert colours', be like the storm trooper of the AG racing league!
can't believe the playable demo still has floating speedpads.
Other than that: can't wait to play the game at the end of the year. Looks fabulous!
Very nice Angryman, thank you:D
Sausehuhn that is a sweet picture! Haven't seen that track in any of the Pulse or HD pictures before!
Personally, I have no problems with the floating speedpads. It's technology! ;)
I was just getting used to the grey look myself, that's probably why I can't stand the move to a greener-looking craft.
It does look like a super high-res version of Pure and Pulse tracks, using all Pulse ships. I can't wait. This is more than just a mere PSN "semi-game..."
Yeah, it does look like a "true" game rather than a cheap download. Can't wait till X-mas! :xtree
"... can't believe the playable demo still has floating speedpads."
It doesn't. That's a very old screenshot.
oh, that's good news then :)
____
look at this. I wanna play thaaat xD
PS3 games are not required to have the signature tilting controls of SIXAXIS, keep that in mind.
Uh the only thing I have to contribute to this topic (because I may never buy a PS3 because they're so damned expensive, at least until PS3 Wipeout comes out), is that I hate the idea of the SIXAXIS tilt tbh.
Urgh, so inprecise! The thought of it makes me cry for my Neggie, D-Pad, even Analog Sticks! (Another reason I'm not a massive fan of nub and analogs is their slight lack of precision, by that I mean to say that it's harder to get an exact turn of an exact angle [if that makes sense], even if the D-Pad is blunt in control by comparison)
You'd actually be surprised as to how precise the SIXAXIS can be, unlike the wiimote...
You need to get used to it, and it takes a few hours of playing to get used to it, but once you are, it's pretty straightforward, and really really good to use.
The only gripe i have with this controller is, since it's bluetooth, sometimes it loses it's connection for a few seconds, and then comes back. Both me and my friend have had this happen with our PS3's, happens once or twice every few days.
It now tells you how much damage a weapon inflicts, how much shield energy you can gain by absorbing a certain weapon, and the direction of incoming fire...wow, thanks Max, that video is just amazing - however, that first-lap launch into the billboards wasn't XD
Video rocks for sure, incredible details and fantastic sceneries but i am not a fan of all those new infos on your screen like the one you can guess where is the ship behind you. Rear view anyone? i only hope we can unselected those
I'd just ignore it, like the weird square-ish arrow in Wip3out.
If all goes well, I'll get some video footage these days from two friends of mine. They were in Leipzig and will get home again this night. One 20 min vid of WO:HD and another 10 min vid of Pulse.
We'll see :)
Me want to see! :g I hope it has some killer gameplay, without the always-drive-into-a-billboard pilots we see on some sites. You know the ones I mean! ;)
Possible source of more Wipeout HD vids and images-- fan thread on Neogaf. Some of it is old, some of it looks new (or at least, new to me).
This video is dated from a while back but I haven't seen it yet-- apologies if already posted:

Looks awesome :)
It's mostly old...and from E3...
Darn - only eight tracks. At least they look totally awesome at the moment....quality over quantity I say.
Now to find out how I'll ever have this game.
Do you think other expansion packs will be available for download, perhaps? :?
