I don't know what control configuration you people use for the airbreaks on Wipeout HD Fury, but I don't know what is easier the default setting (L2-R2) or the original airbreak settings (L1-R1) from the old wipeout games?

For me, it is far easier usig L1 and R1 :) The default just doesnt do it for me and i used them for quite a few hours!
L1 R1 everytime scĂ*aaaaaar sez
L2 R2 for me, I find L1 R1 apply to much pressure on the airbrakes for me. The triggers let me apply a set amount of pressure so I don't lose as much speed in the corners.
played for years on l2r2, resulting in sore indexfinger. changing to l1r1 took less than an hour getting used to. and now i'm a happy camper!
@snakenator: Yeah better pressure control for airbreaks with L2/R2, which i think is really important.
But i think using L2/R2 is a little "harder". You can fail a sideshift more easily than with L1/R1.
But it's just a metter of getting use to it i guess, even if you will fail a little more with it. And i don't like using L2 or R2 to reset a lap, i don't find it intuitive.
I tred 2 times to play with L1/R1 but without success, i'm too used to L2/R2. And i feel that using L2/R2 gives me a way better position for my left thumb and so barrel rolling, using d-pad, which is my case.
(L1/R1 gives a more comfortable fingers position for those who use joysticks, i think. Correct me if i'm wrong)
So L2/R2 for me, definitly.
Small hands and carpal tunnel, so L1 R1 :)
Definitely L1/R1 and d-pad, mandatory :)
@Kieldoskopik_1er : need to try this L2/R2 with d-pad , coz i have problem to SS left and br , other way is much better , that can be "life savior" ;)
I think everybody has trouble with the left SS br. Since you have to do all command with 1 hand, it's just a harder trick to pull off.
I use L1R1 like most of the really old WO pilots around here that started playing WO when there was NO L2R2 on a PS controller.
The thing is, although it is easier to use L1R1, those controls are digital, and as such, the finesse available in braking is less than the Analog L2R2.
If only it was possible to switch Analog braking to the L1R1 buttons .... Dreaming !
