Rayman 1 menu theme
Driver 2 song. lol it sounds awful now
And several from MGS 1, mainly because MGS was incredible and i love the slightly naff sounding synth :D, it seemed to fit really well though and it had a orchestral sort of vibe to it. Dun dun dundundun!
Alert Sometimes i would purpously get caught to hear it :D
Rex's Lair Always reminds me of Minefields by the Prodigy. also having to sort out the PAL key, freezing it and heating it
And finally from MGS 2 the boss battle theme. love the drum and bass style. and fighting Fatman on his rollerskates :g
Basically if i had the time i would end up listing every mgs 1 and 2 song here, used to play them with my friends all the time :D :g

...this song reminds me of those few times when my heartbeat ran that fast, so terribly terribly interesting, warm skin a cool breeze and the feel of brown leather, seeing the alternative version of myself and realizing which way I could have gone and so glad I didn't. So a heartbeat reminds me of a lot. And why am I logging in here so much lately, and why do we post things here that we don't say out loud? Time to go.
Oh, where do I begin? Play me any track from Final Fantasy IX and X, and I'm hit with a big wave of nostalgia.
I played a lot of Sega GT in my dreamcast (It was my first console ever, when I was 8 ).
These are some of the most nostalgic for me:

And this one on the oval track with the Viper GTR2000 doing 300 KPH.

And toy commander, also for DC:

When I found this soundtrack on youtube... I have no words to describe the feelings...
Sadly I can't play these games on DC anymore because it started shuting down from overheating and there were no available parts anywhere, back in 2004... Since then, I'm a PS guy, but it just isn't the same thing.
DICE did it right, this tune brings back so many memories.

Ah...memories.
Haha, Alex Kidd was awesome. :D
That weird music from the castle is the best (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Uw-...eature=related). Makes me remember all the "!!!!?!?!?!?!" that that level caused at first. :lol
I'll always remember the music from some other Master System games too, like Sonic and Sonic 2, Asterix, Action Fighter, Spy vs Spy, and The Ninja.
Also, a few Playstation games. Final Fantasy VII and VIII, Colony Wars, Discworld Noir.
Wonderboy 3... I like this whole bit but my fave section starts around 2:20...

Aerith's theme FFVII

If you have played the game and know what happens, then you will know why this music brings back memories of the biggest emotional shock I've ever had in gaming.
I hear you blackwiggle, i could say it was the only time i was sad because of a a video game. FFVII is still a great game after all these years, i even bought it on PS3 :).
One of my memory triggers is Gun Star Heroes - Level 1
that melody gets me everytime.
My favourite track from Sonic 2 (Master System):

How could I forget Wonderboy 3's music, after spending so many hours on it as a kid?! :D
My favourite music in it is probably:

I noticed you posted some F-Zero music too. Yeah, that game had a great soundtrack. The Death Wind tracks had the best music IMO; really tense atmosphere. I have a few F-Zero tracks on my Wipeout soundtrack, actually.
Haha, it's the only game that my dad plays (he's not a gamer at all, but he discovered this about 12 years ago or so), and he always goes on about how good the music is. :D
Alex, i didnt even know there was a master system Sonic...Lear something new everyday...BTW does anyone remember the battletoads pause beat?

I think that only the first Master System Sonic was released in the US. The system was discontinued by the time the second came out (we also got a third game, Sonic Chaos, over here, but the quality wasn't as high as the first two). They're well worth checking out, as they're quite different games to the Mega Drive/Genesis versions, rather than just bad ports. ;)
Hearing the music from some of these NES games makes me feel that I missed out by not getting a Nintendo system as a kid (although I did play the Mario games and a few others at friends' houses, so I remember those being great). But then the Master System was well supported in Europe and had more games that I was interested in, so that was what I went for.
