Saw this mentioned in a thread a couple of years back. It has now been released on PC with console versions on the way soon. The art style looks very much like the classic Wipeout games, although the handling on PC seems very twitchy. First impressions video by TotalBiscuit:

I predict he did not like the controls.
And now I watch the video.

Okay, he didn't like them but not for the reasons I thought. Didn't know he liked Wipeout that much actually. Thought he'd end up disliking the game because of the way the ships controlled, not because of the lack of options (Though that's still a huge deal and 2048 has the same problem).
It does look good. I do believe this is a UDK game (Meaning Unreal Engine 3) so that should be a system requirements indication. I believe his VSync issue comes from the fact that he locks it at 60FPS while the engine would need to render at 61.something to have no tearing. UT3 locks at 61FPS and there's no tearing, but at 60 there is. Strange but whatever. If you don't force VSync through a control panel option you might not have the problem.

Apparently Origin will pick up the game. Not sure about Steam though.

I do agree with him very much.

I need to feel like I'm flying a plane, not a car.

That's what he implies it handles like.

And "Death Road"? Such a bad title choice. It does not make me think of Hover Racing. It makes me think of a sports car with guns on it.

Then again, WipEout is something of a bad choice too. At least it was just thought of on a whim.

Death Road is it's name. It's also on PC.

And with electronic music too, wow.

What do you think. My first impression is good, a nice game, but i want to see the physics, gameplay, backstory, and all before make an opinion of it.
