So I have modified the psp on tv to work on the vita. The picture is passable to play, but not pretty. It is old technology, the resolution is 480i. I am looking for a webcam/ small camera that displays 1080p ( could be 720), and has an hdmi out signal to connect directly to a tv. It doesn't need to record, BUT it needs to be lag free. The recording generally causes lag, but just the straight signal to tv should work better. I am really hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Once I find one, I can build a video out for the vita that looks nice.

Once again, the lack of LAG is critical. The video camera on the iPad 2 has lag even without recording, not much, but too much for what I need.

The chances of finding an affordable video camera for this kind of thing that captures 60fps is pretty much minimal. However, you may find one that captures 30fps @ 720p which could be good enough given 2048's frame rate. Check out this list, maybe (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007794+600009507&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&IsNodeId=1&Subcategory=152&description=&hisInDesc=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&AdvancedSearch=1&srchInDesc=).

I need hdmi/av out. I cannot go through a computer as it creates a ton of lag. Think maybe a surveillance camera, except better video quality. I saw one that would probably work right, but it cost 499$, too much. I think I have a magnifying solution now though, am finishing it up today
