The original Wipeout inspired countless musicians across the world to become producers and composers. Check out their dedication to the series in The Wipeout Generation soundtrack.
The Wipeout Generation is a compilation of tracks inspired by the Wipeout series, and the composer behind the original soundtrack, Cold Storage (Tim Wright).

"...OMFG. This is excellent. Nice work! ;O) ...I pressed play and was like, "er... hang on a minute, this is actually rather damned good!'" (Tim Wright, AKA Cold Storage - via facebook & soundcloud)

If you haven't tried it already, you can boot up the music app-thing on the Vita whilst playing a game to get some tuneage going.

The only problem is that the music from the app drown out the game's sounds. So if you want to listen to your own music in 2048 properly you'll have to turn the in-game music off and use some software to make the music you intend to play quite a bit quieter.

Good, I thought herein the track from kraftwerks tour de France album was going to make me rage destructively over the world.

Hearing the remix of the chemical brothers n fsol, with those kinds of sounds, still makes me, want to, almost rage kill that man.

I said almost.
And I still want to hear the music louder than the warning signs of "missile" any day.
